King Felipe and Queen Letizia were in the Costa del Sol region today to attend the Gold Medals of Merit in Fine Arts 2016 ceremony at the Center Pompidou Málaga.
Their Majesties delivered the awards which serve to recognize individuals and organizations that have made a significant contribution to the education, development, dissemination or preservation of the Fine Arts.
Queen Letizia opted for a professional look in traditional nautical colours of navy and white for today's visit to the port city of Málaga.
Keeping out the seaside chill, Letizia wrapped up in a dark blue coat. I believe she may be wearing her Hugo Boss 'Canika1' Belted Wool Coat with an added faux fur collar. She first wore the piece in January 2017 for a meeting with the AECC.
Some royal fashion bloggers have suggested she is wearing the BOSS 'Casala' Virgin Wool Coat, but I don't think this is the case. The seams and collar shape of the 'Canika1' coat are a better match compared with the 'Casala'. Furthermore, I have been unable to find the 'Casala' style in the navy blue colourway.
Letizia premiered a navy pant suit reportedly by BOSS. The blazer features a lapelless jacket with thin metal closure. Unfortunately, I have been unable to find the style in the Hugo Boss product catalogue.
Underneath the jacket Letizia wore a new navy/ecru polka dot silk blouse from the F/W 2017 Collection of CH Carolina Herrera (€295).
She coordinated the look with her Caroline Herrera 'Baret' navy/red colour-block flap clutch bag and Magrit leather pumps.
Letizia finished the outfit with her TOUS blue stone and baroque pearl dangle earrings.

The polka dot blouse helps enliven what would have been a rather boring outfit. I would have worn a fancy brooch/pin on the lapel to make it more interesting. I wish Leti would wear more jewelry and accessories. Lately her outfits have lacked pizazz.

Sandy, I agree that lately Letizia's outfit have lacked pizazz. I used to often go WOW on seeing what she was wearing. I thought she was the most stylish royal out there. But lately her outfits have been so conservative..well put together...but nothing exciting.

Laura, yes I know what you mean by the missing "WOW" factor.

I don't recall her wearing a navy coat in Feb 2017 but she did in Jan 2017 which has prompted me to take a closer look at the coat. I now don't think the Hugo Boss 'Casala' is the correct coat. It appears she may have added a fur collar to her Hugo Boss 'Canika1' belted wool coat from Jan 2017.

This look was fine I really liked the pant suit and blouse. But the earrings and clutch didn't work for me.

Los "lunares" que vosotros llamáis "polka dots", son muy típicos de Andalucía, estaba en Málaga, así que era un guiño a la ciudad.

Love the polka dots, much needed against all that navy, and such a gorgeous blouse in the illustrations. I love the cheeky flash of red in the clutch, a nice touch. I'm not a fan of flared trousers and think they look quite clunky on Letizia here, as if she's all feet. Maybe I'm just struggling to get used to them being in fashion again. But a very serviceable outfit overall.
