Both Letizia and Meghan look smart in this skirt.

I just saw Meghan wearing the exact same skirt one day after Letizia wore hers. What a co-incidence!! As always Letizia styled it much better. I am biased.

This is a gorgeous blouse by Carolina Herrera, which I don't think has reached it's full potential. The pencil skirts it's been styled with have looked top heavy with the billowing sleeves and loose fit. I think it would look best with elegant, wide leg, dress trousers in white/navy/blush, which would balance the fullness with an air of fluidity. The skirt, I would team with something more contemporary/classic like a gorgeous cashmere crew or turtle neck in soft camel or a beautifully simple powder blue silk shirt, with gold Coolook hoops and the Prada nude pumps which would have been more in keeping with the modern design. This outfit works, but I find the details disjointed, with the opulent blouse and earrings against sleek leather. Sadly, I am not a fan of the new shoes and clutch set, the clutch is a little large, I prefer a more structured shape and the cut of the shoes is high on the foot making them appear heavy, which is emphasised further by the bold colour.

I agree that it would be interesting to see the blouse styled with trousers; the long lines might suit the mock neck of the blouse and balance out the billowy sleeves. I think a pencil skirt works but I'm not sure about the delicate lace with the edginess of the leather. For me, something is off.

Trousers in South Korea is not a good idea, better in other place.

I like your styling alternatives for the blouse, it does have potential if liberated from businesswear. I think you're also right that the lace inserts are overkill with the fancy earrings, I'd remove the lace as I think the earrings could survive this context.

I loved how Meghan styled her take on this skirt with her plunging v-neck cashmere, the neckline bare of jewellery. I thought she was also clever to add edge by a slight mismatch in the colour of sweater and pumps, while adding a black bag. A funky vibe!

Finally, Letizia has returned to her signature style. She looks like her old self in this simple and elegant outfit. I love the lace inserts on the sleeves of the blouse. It keeps it from being boring. And the beautiful rich ruby red leather skirt adds a contemporary element while still retaining a classic look.

I guess she tried to avoid red because in these countries it has another meaning, abd they might not understand it as a partiotic colour here.
I love this "butane " colour, we call it like this because of the butane cylinders.

She matched edgy and classic...

This is a great outfit, the Queen looks so chic. Silk blouse is so elegant, the addition of the lace detail in the sleeve keeps it interesting and not just another plain white blouse. The skirt is a perfect fit, love the length. I love her colour choice of shoes and clutch. The ruby and diamond dangle earrings are a perfect addition, dainty piece.

I like the skirt and I especially like the blouse, but I am not sure they are great together. The skirt is structured and modern, while the blouse is flowing and classic. The earrings are perfect with this look and the purse and shoes are a good colour match to the skirt.

I commented yesterday that I thought Letizia's hair looked limp. I think she is long overdue for a trim.

I really know very little about King Felipe, but he seems to be such a good man...kind, calm and noble.

Felipe does appear to have some wonderful qualities. I really admire and like him (Letizia too). He is so very different from his father.

The Hugo Boss red leather pencil skirt is a knock-out and Letizia absolutely rocks it, especially with the Magrit red pumps and white CH blouse. While lace and leather is generally a classic combo I'm not so sure about these lacy inserts in the blouse sleeve. The whole sleeve is an unusual shape, being fuller at the wrist, and may be referencing something from an earlier century, but somehow the addition of lace at the elbow seems to cut the arm in half and gives an unnecessary feminine diversion in the middle of a classic businesslike chic. The neckline is really pretty with its smart but soft stand-up collar and the Dominguez clutch is a nice neat size, not demanding any spotlight. The cabochon and diamond drop earrings are just fabulous.

Meghan wore the same skirt few days later. I don't like the skirt on QL nor Meghan. The colour is not a red I like, it's brick red. And the 2 awkward seams - vertical, and horizontal draws the eye to the wrong place on an outfit. It's too long.

In Spain we call this colour butane or Teja, yes like Texas in US. It is the colour of the roof tiles. I have been in California and San Antonio and the roofs have "tejas" also and I have seen it written it with "j"....we pronunce that letter as your "h" but deeper.

Meghan is from California I can see Spanish heritage on her?? Anyone from there here?? The "messy" bun...etc....

I bet it is what you see so different in her.
