Tiered skirts and dresses seem to be a hot trend this Spring/Summer. I
prefer them for a more casual look. This dress looks cool and summery and I love the subtle polka dots and wide waistband. Looking back in time, 2016 and 2017 were my favorites.

The Gabriela pollka dot print looks very well on Letizia in all the head-and-shoulder pics, especially with her hair up and those beautiful diamond drop earrings. But I have to confess myself mystified as to why she would choose such an apparently casual summery style for a military setting. Her previous outings have all been much more svelte.

Once again we are up against the tiered gathered boho layers which I'm afraid I grew out of back in the 1970s and have never wished to return to. I'm afraid this dress looks more like something to do the housework in than turn up wearing on parade. It was a brave effort to instill some definition to the look via black accessories.

Bertie, I agree the dress has a more casual look but 'housework' didn't cross my mind. Since I've been working from home I can't wear a lot of my office attire. You have given me some ideas. I can wear them around the house while vacuuming, dusting etc.

I hope I wasn't being too rude, but I was put in mind of a wrapover housecoat that used to be used for housework! I love to think of you looking glamorous while dusting lol

No, you were not rude at all. You gave me a good laugh!

This dress is such a light, breezy, summer look that I wondered why it was paired with heavy, black shoes and purse. I do realize that the polka dots are black, but perhaps if the shoes had a lighter look, as worn by the model and by Letizia in 2015 and 2017, it would be better. I do think the dress is very pretty and I especially like the wide self belt. The aquamarine earrings are just beautiful.

The Queen looks lovely in this dress, but I don't like the tiered layers on skirts or dresses and this is no different. The overall look has a casual vibe, its an unusual choice for this particular event. The past years, 2016, 2017, 2021 were my favourites.
The diamond and blue stones are a delightful match, beautiful earrings.

This is a lovely dress, but perhaps a little too casual for such an occasion. Maybe if she paired it with a cropped tailored blazer, it would have helped elevate the look.

Obviously, there is an invasion and a war near here, in Ucrania, so military parades are not well perceived right now in Spain. So It is Huesca (Aragón), not in Madrid. Huesca is a place with very few population and Heat, so the event was not very important at all. Nobody is celebrating Army nowadays.
