Their Majesties first met the Spanish artistic swimming team, as well as the Spanish men's and women's water polo teams at Albéniz Palace, all of which had participated in the Fukuoka World Aquatics Championships.

The royal couple then attended the first edition of the “La Vanguardia Awards” at the Museu Nacional d'Art de Catalunya. The prize recognizes individuals and organizations who are active in the social, economic, political or cultural fields.

This is a beautiful dress, very elegant. I love the outline and design of the dress, the fabric and pattern is fabulous.
The earrings are lovely very effective.

Another beautiful DVN dress that is perfect for an evening event. Letizia owns a similar dress by the same designer with a bolder floral print that she wore a few years ago. The print on this one is more delicate and subtle but looks just as great. I really like the creativity of this designer.

Ava, I agree completely! This dress made Letizia stand out as the Queen of Spain and the Queen of Elegance! The gold pattern, earrings, and clutch were just the right touches of gold! I liked both pairs of shoes and wouldn't have minded if Letizia had worn the kitten heels in the evening, too!

I thought it was remarkable how well the lower heels looked with the midi skirt, perhaps because it's so slim.

The Dries Van Noten dress is simply lovely, the epitome of chic and elegance, the floral print on black background is restrained and so classy. The classic bodice fits perfectly, the fitted belt is just so neat at the waist, and the way the skirt gently pleats out from under it is intelligently handled to be feminine and not bulky.

The new Herrera gold clutch is perfect and it is interesting to see Letizia continue with the lower kitten heels in her Massimo Dutti slingbacks, though she more than made up for it in the fierce stiletto Herrera courts later. Her new Herrera jasmine earrings are equally well chosen, with their more pronounced floral petals quietly developing the relatively botanical style of the dress print. A fabulous look for Letizia, one of her best, I hope we get to see it loads.
