Queen Letizia debuts a green Dándara dress on Day 2 of State Visit to Denmark

The King and Queen of Spain are currently in the midst of their three-day State Visit to Denmark. On the second day, they commenced their activities at the Kastellet, where they were joined by Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary to lay a wreath in tribute to soldiers who had lost their lives.

From the citadel, the royals moved to Copenhagen City Hall, where they were joined by Queen Margrethe II for a reception.

Following that, they toured the University of Copenhagen, examining a collection of Spanish documents and engaging with Spanish academics and researchers from various Danish universities.

In the afternoon, Crown Princess Mary and Queen Letizia paid a visit to Rigshospitalet, where they had the opportunity to see the ongoing construction of the Mary Elisabeth Hospital, a new world-class children's hospital in Denmark named in honour of the Crown Princess.

Both ladies look fantastic. Letizia's feminine green dress looks great with the camel shoes and it's stands in sharp contrast to the classic black and white worn by Mary. Her classic tweed skirt was given some drama with the black sash down the side and likewise the black top with the jewelled collar.

This is a miss for me. I do like the green dress. The coat looks too big, too bunched up and the skirt shows below it, which presents a messy vibe. The pink shoes do not really coordinate with the dress or the coat. The purse is too summery, as it is now reasonably cold in Denmark. The earrings, however, are magnificent...although a bit over the top with the coat.

It almost looks as if Letizia and Mary have done a sisterly swap after the Spanish Queen arrived in Denmark in a tie-belt cream coat, and now Mary dons one for this wreath laying. She adds a bright note against the sober colours of the others.

Letizia's Herrera camel coat looks a bit too oversized and it is unfortunate that her skirt hem shows after the belt has been so firmly tied. I don't think the new lower heels from Lodi help the look very much. I welcome the return of the pretty floral Furla bag to break up the monochrome.

The cheerful green of the new Dandara dress is a welcome sight for the later hospital engagement and here I think Letizia wears it better than the model.The gathered sections of the 1940s-style matronly bodice look droopy in the studio shot, but I think Letizia has this time found a way of tightening the waist to the benefit of the dress.

The Lodi pumps look better here too. The stunning emerald and diamond earrings look well every time, and are a natural show-stealer.
