The Queen of Spain presided over the award ceremony of the first edition of the 'Retina ECO Awards', at the Giner de los Ríos Foundation, Madrid.

The awards were organised by the newspaper El País in collaboration with the consulting firm Capgemini, to reward the best projects of 2020 in the field of the fight against climate change and sustainability using technology. A jury made up of renowned personalities from the academic and business fields selected 12 finalists, from among 115 submitted nominations.

Her Majesty presented the awards in the four categories: 'Green Generation Award' to Repsol, 'Efficient Consumption Award' to Cellnex, 'Smart Mobility Award' to Airbus and 'Sustainable Ecosystem Award' to Técnicas Reunidas.

The website says:

"We work with Natural fibers because besides being fabrics obtained from naturally renewable cellulosic plants they do not use chemicals and they are biodegradable.

Actually this dress is made by orgánic bamboo.

This dress has a very lovely off the shoulder neckline that is perfect for an evening event. I'm happy to see Letizia back to work. It seems like she has been on summer vacation for a long time.

Long time? A month , as everybody, at least in Spain. Madrid and most cities are almost empty in August.

This is an absolutely stunning look that Letiizia is able to pull off with ease. I prefer the dress with the slingback pumps, rather than the casual sandals on the model. Although understandably necessary, it is a shame that a mask detracts from the simple elegance of this outfit.

This is a beautiful dress, yet casual, the Queen looks fabulous. I too prefer the slingback pumps. Love the clutch.

Letizia looks just stunning in her Maria Malo dress. It has taken a straightforward off-the-shoulder style and added great flair with the ruffling and frilled sleeves, tapering neatly down to a simple sheath, achieving great chic. The effect is tremendous on Letizia. It's perfect with the black Herrera slingbacks and Magrit clutch
