This look is a total miss for me. At first I thought Letizia was wearing this dress: https://www.queenletiziastyle.com/blog/queen-letizia-brings-back-pink-maje-organza-dress-for-national-culture-awards

I dislike them both as they are too little girl, party dress. The beige shoes look blah and as Letizia has several pairs of pink shoes, that might have been an obvious choice. The purse looks like it would go best at a fun event on a summer's day. Finally the earrings, although dramatic, are in multiply colours...with not a hint of pink.

The purse is a bit wild, isn't it? I can see why she might pick it in the hope of finding contrast, but while the floral are pretty, the background fades out too pale against the skirt. Working mum in a hurry, eh?!

The purse is by Furla, one of the BEST brands in Italy, I doubt that a working mum can afford It. It seems here people is very rich, they buy a 600 euros bag.

Alternatively, my reference to a working mum was not to highlight the cost of the bag. I simply meant that as a working mum Letizia may not have the time to spend long choosing a bag and could have picked this one out in a hurry

In the video, you can see a coat on her hands, can you find It out or It is complicated?

I'm not sure, but I see a button so it could be her camel Carolina Herrera Double-Breasted Straight-Fit Coat: https://www.queenletiziastyle.com/carolina-herrera-double-breasted-straight-fit-coat-in-camel.html

This dress looks very similar to the Maje "Roane" Organza dress worn in July 2022 which I prefer because it was more elegant. But as for this Moises Nieto dress, I don't like the fabric ( too shiny) or style ( a bit messy). I don't understand the mis-match of the earrings. It looks like someone made a mistake and took one earring from two different pairs. If this is a new trend, count me out. However, I really adore the floral handbag which gives me hope that Spring is on it's way.

She must like pink: I counted at least 5 dresses in different light-pink shades.
But this one in particular looks cheap: the shiny finish, the rather stiff-looking material more for a chair-cover at a wedding party seems to me, the belt that points more to a bathrobe than a dress .. I really do not understand these choices from somebody with a reasonable budget, in this era of sustainability.
Why buy cheap and cheap-looking items and not buy just impeccably tailored pieces, which are likely a bit more pricey but that look polished and can be worn in different ways for different looks at different occasions? Or why not just re-use some of the ever-green pieces already in the wardrobe? Oh well...
I like the construction idea of this outfit (with the focus on the face area including the earings as spots of more strong colors, and pale everything else), but the execution seems poor to me, because of the dress.

Actually, It is an Art Fair, very trendy, as you can see other women dress almost hippy. I do not know for you but for me 225 euros is expensive and this dress is made in Spain, lots of brands more expensive make their things in China, Sry Lanka and those places.
We do not want "expensive" people on board, Spain has more important things to think about. In fact, they are there because they do not spend too much money and she promotes Spanish brands, the dress is sold out in Spain and made by Moisés Nieto a Spanish designer.
She dresses for Spain and things affordable for the people. I think in other countries you do not understand the role that they play here, they are workers, and they are doing an amazing job. She dresses as everyone that go to work and I think that very few people wear outfits that cost 200 euros with the electricity and petrol not afordable.

Tibi, do you know what ARCO Fair is? Obviously not , because of that you do not understand the dress . Also, in other countries you do not understand the sense of the Spanish Monarchy, we do not want people in a 2000 euros coat, because we are not going to pay for It, It is not necessary at all.
She is doing the effort of wearing Spanish ítems by Spanish designes for Spain that the Spaniards understand, because she work for Spain and does want the government of Spain wants. The Monarchy has only a diplomatic meaning, there is a President of the Government.
And as someone else told, she could wear sneakers and jeans every day, nobody pays for her clothes.

1. While there seems to be disagreement even among Spaniards whether the 225EUR dress is cheap or expensive ;), I really just thought about what somebody educated us here some time ago: that they have a gov. salary (something ~200-300K EUR/year). This is several times my salary, so the comment about 'reasonable budget' was done in the context of this amount that I was remembering. In the context of this amount, 200EUR dress is cheap (while for my personal budget is not that cheap).

2. Yes, I am aware that the role of the royals (pretty much everywhere in Europe, maybe w/ the exception of Monaco and Lichtenstein? ) is not what used to be. Don't think my comment on the outfit inferred or implied anything related to their role or obligations. It was just about the *look* of a dress :D. There are pieces that are expensive and look cheap, some that are cheap but look expensive, and some that are cheap and look cheap. In general, I'm more on the side of avoiding/getting rid of 'cheap looking' pieces, no matter the price, and be better off by re-using instead.

3. QL is, in my opinion, a master of very-well-done edgy and artsy-looking outfits. But this does not mean one has to like an outfit just because it appears to be appropriate for an event. The same way one can not like a gown, even if it was worn at an official banquet. Context matters, but it's not everything ;).

These being said, I note how readers from Spain react to any comment that might be perceived even remotely negative about QL. I can only assume that QL does her job in a manner that earns this kind of loyalty and protectiveness, which is commendable (for her, and for those speaking up) :).

I like the sheen on this pretty fabric and the colour suits Letizia, but I think it would be better used for a top or blouse rather than a complete dress. I don't think the skirt hangs well and the fabric below the tie belt bunches out in an unflattering way.

I love seeing the Furla 1927 floral bag and those new and colourful mismatched earrings from Cashfana. I think the classy nude Prada pumps work well with the pink.

Not so keen on the dress, the color is pretty. On the other hand the earrings and bag are gorgeous.

Letizia' salary is 130.000 euros per year (not 200 or 300), for everything, she has not a "budget" for clothes. The king's salary is 245.000 euros per year....for clothing, food, her two daughters (Who do not get an euro) , their clothes, schools and all...Queen Sofía earns 116.000 euros.
Our Monarchy is less expensive than a President of a Republic or even the President of the Government, se only have 3 persons on board. And in Spain people do not follow her clothes, there are not blogs only some magazines that only point out when an outfit is from a Spanish designer, she is very criticized when premiers something by Hugo Boss, for example. It is the foreign people Who is interested.
