COAT: Black belted wool coat. I think it may be new. I don't believe it's her Carolina Herrera A-line coat because the lapel and pocket detail appear to be different.

The ombre skirt makes this an eye catching outfit without being over powering or garish. I adore classic pleats even though they add bulk to one's figure. Letizia never has that problem The pale pink blouse is a true classic and looks so beautiful on Letizia. I thought the skirt had pink in it due to the blouse but I see it's actually neutral. You can fool the eye sometimes. The two tone shoes seem to echo the colours in the outfit so they were a good choice along with those lovely earrings.

This skirt came in several colourways, I liked the fiery scarlet best, the natural is a little insipid. I appreciate that this ensemble may look better in person. Overall this outfit works, but I don't think it's as refined as it could be. I'm not convinced that the styling seamlessly compliments the skirt. This is a beautiful spring-like shirt, but a fitted black crewneck/turtleneck may have been a simpler choice. Keeping the body of black together, gradually decreasing it down the ensemble (like the ombre effect of the skirt), rather than the outfit flowing from pink, to black, to pink... I would have also have added a sleek slim waist belt and elegant black pumps. I believe this skirt may be from the autumn/winter 2019 collection and was designed to sit comfortably against dark and heavy fabrics. In general, I am not a fan of Steve Madden footwear, the cut on these shoes isn't as razor-sharp as the designer model they are heavily influenced by. They look a little large in some photographs and I think they may be best suited to camel and black, rather than pink.

Thanks Jennifer, for pointing out the other colours. I took a look at the Reiss website and loved the Berry version! I had never heard of Reiss before. It looks like Letizia is embracing some new brands.

The blouse is such a pretty colour on the Queen. I love it! But I don't like it with this skirt. The skirt is a bit loosey-goosey in terms of fit. It seems to sag a bit at the waist. The skirt would look better with a black top to complement the flow of colour opening up to the bottom and a top that was fitted and belted or else hip-length to conceal the waist of the skirt. But since it's the blouse I'm enjoying, I would've been happy if she'd just worn a pair of black trousers. The shoes don't look as sharp as they could.

I think loosey-goosey truly sums up the effect of that skirt -- thanks for a whole new term!! I agree the soft blouse would look heaps better with smart pants.

Hi Geneviève, I've been wondering what is off about the skirt and you're right, it's a little loose on the waist and sits too low. I also would have preferred to have seen the silk shirt styled with smart trousers, it was the highlight of the outfit. I can't help wishing that Letizia had invested in these and not the SM's too.

Beautiful elegant and understated blouse, gorgeous colour. The skirt is lovely but a simple belt would have lifted this outfit up another level. I love pleated skirts and this along with the work of colour is eye-catching and interesting. Another choice of shoe would have lifted the overall look, the Dalia pumps seemed ill-fitting and the size of them in some photos is questionable. Regardless the Queen carried the outfit off well.

I felt the lack of belt keenly as well, it's needed to give some definition.

While the pink blouse is pretty, it doesn't do much for this skirt. I agree with those who think a black top would have been best. Plain black shoes would have also looked better. I do like the earrings; they go with the blouse, even though the blouse is not a good choice for the skirt.

I'm unable to get on board with this outfit, I'm not a fan of these ombre pleats and have struggled with other versions Letizia has tried. The washed out pink between black stripes from Reiss just doesn't chime, I think I've preferred earlier, crisper black and white combinations she's worn.

The Dominguez shirt doesn't help either, being so soft and shapeless and also in the indifferent pink I can't seem to get on with here or in the earlier Hugo Boss pant suit. It seems to fade into nothing much special at the skirt waist and the whole looks undefined.

Her two-tone Dalia pumps are a spot-on match, and the smartest part of the outfit, the Coolook earrings are divine. It definitely doesn't help that she's gone for the tangled look in her hair, and I'm getting messy vibes from and outfit which is no doubt high fashion!!

Wow, the skirt and blouse make a pretty and eye catching outfit for an early Spring day. And what can one say about these fabulous earrings? I think a black top would have subsumed the Queen on this occasion and she would have disappeared among the black jackets.
