Her Majesty's first audience was with a representation of the Confederación Salud Mental España (Spanish Mental Health Confederation), who informed the Queen of how the pandemic is affecting the mental health of the population. The president of the confederation explained how restrictive measures and the socioeconomic consequences that accompany it 'are beginning to take their toll on the mental health of the population.
Queen Letizia's second audience of the day was with a representation of the Asociación Europea contra las Leucodistrofias ELA-España (European Association against Leukodystrophies ELA-Spain). The representatives explained their aim of focusing funding on programs dedicated to improving the health and well-being of patients.
For today's audience hearings, Queen Letizia offset a black top and slim trousers with a glen plaid blazer by CH Carolina Herrera. The £750 double-breasted jacket is a new addition to Letizia's closet.

I do not know in your country(ies), but in Spain the blazer is on sales and costs 345 Euros.

How wonderful to see a glen plaid item of quality, where the check aligns perfectly, the fit is impeccable and the fabric doesn't crease when seated. The loose cut and sharp tailoring offer an elegantly relaxed silhouette which is complemented by the slim-fit trousers. While the black crew-neck knit, diamond studs and loafers look neat, it would be refreshing to see the Queen vary her wardrobe staples. I would style the blazer with a crisp white shirt in cotton-poplin, the Nina Ricci black suede kitten heels and a pair of chunky, mid-sized, silver hoops.

I'm assuming Letizia is fighting shy of even a hint of pizzazz, as might be afforded by chunky hoops, as she stays firmly low-key.

This is another professional, appropriate and well put together outfit. The blazer is beautifully tailored. I am a tad weary of all the blacks and greys that Letizia has been wearing. As someone said in the comments a few days ago, the world is experiencing difficult times, but that doesn't mean colour is wrong.

I agree, Laura. We need some brighter colours especially in the winter.

This is a lovely jacket so versatile. Superbly structured, the numerous fine details take this jacket up a notch. I would have swapped the black top for another colour, or white maybe. I understand keeping it on the down low fully. The slim fit trousers are a total win.

I came to a grinding halt on this one as I was at a loss to see why Letizia would need another grey plaid jacket. The other problem was that I don't like double-breasted and I see Letizia is keeping hers buttoned up. which lends weigh to my theory that could get bulky when seated, though the photo doesn't show a major problem.

Herrera tailoring first class as always, I like covered buttons and bracelet sleeves are cute. I think it's best accessorized with black and the Uterque loafers are chic.Just not a favourite look of mine overall, but then it is meant to be a practical working outfit at a difficult time for both the country and its royal family.
