I like this knit dress but prefer it without the belt, which cuts the pattern. The shoes and the earrings go well. I dislike the white purse, with the chain strap. A navy clutch would have been better.

I really didn't like the chain on the bag either, but had said so many things I didn't like already I thought I'd leave that bit off! Maybe the white bag would just be ok if it was a clean clutch. I can see where you're coming from with the navy.

I was so excited the see the Queen in a new dress! This is a beautiful knit dress, but I don't like the belt with it because it interferes with the pattern on the dress. The shoes, bag, and earrings looked good with the dress. Hopefully she will wear it again without the belt!

I love the dress and the clever floral pattern - one right side up and one upside down. But, I agree with other posters that the belt interferes with the design. I like the white purse because it highlights the white flowers and helps them stand out.

I was just coming on to say the same as Laura! I like the dress, it's different and quite a fresh look. However, I don't like the white handbag and agree that a navy clutch would have been better.

This Navy knit dress is divine, very stylish and elegant. The application of the white flowers looks fabulous. I'm wondering if omitting the belt whether the dress would tend to 'hang loosely' on the Queen. In the stock photo, the front view on the model, the dress sits and falls well. I would like to see the Queen wear the dress without the belt I feel it would look even better. Love the Navy suede shoes, the white bag and chain strap, I don't like, a navy clutch would have looked nice. Regardless of my tastes, the Queen looked stunning.

Perhaps a bold white print on dark background like this is best left to high end to achieve the right edge of panache to pull it off. This one from Galcon Studio isn't working for me. Maybe I'm used to seeing it on something more form-fitting than this dress which seems to be designed to hang quite loose, almost like a jumper.

Worn in a more casual context it might work, but I find the belt Letizia has used to improve the fit spoils it by cutting right through the pattern which I think is meant to stand alone. I love the white Furla bag, but am not so keen on the Magrit pumps with sweetheart cut which seems a mite fussy against the rougher knit texture of the dress. The Massimo Dutti earrings with two-tone marbled stone are just great.

I wondered if t he two bold flowers on the dark navy background were somehow meant to reflect an artistic vibe given she is visiting art-friendly Malaga. The Galcon Studio shot shows the dress as quite loose-fitting, almost like an over-sized jumper with a casual art-student look. I agree with those who think the effect of the bold pattern is spoiled by the narrow belt which cuts it in two. I suppose Letizia preferred a closer fit.
