Their Majesties first received the Board of Directors of Atresmedia, on the date of the media company's 30th anniversary.
King Felipe VI and Queen Letizia later meet with representatives of  Aldeas Infantiles SOS de España (SOS Children's Villages of Spain). Their objective is to help vulnerable children and young people, encouraging their development and autonomy, by welcoming them into family environments and strengthening their family, social and community networks.
The Spanish queen softened her business look with a flowy patterned top.

She debuted the Indi & Cold floral print blouse with three-quarter sleeves and ruffled yoke. I believe this is the first occasion Letizia has worn a piece by Indi & Cold, a clothing label deeply rooted in the historic Spanish coastal town of San Sebastian.

The beautiful floral print of this blouse brings to mind the upcoming Spring/Easter season. It pairs well with the navy pants and pumps. I love the colour combination of blue/pink as well as the 3/4 length sleeves and lovely ruffles. The outfit is simple and elegant which suits Letizia best. The earrings are the perfect compliment..

Very pretty blouse and good choice of earrings. The print top and pants lend a very relaxed look, when the other women are dressed more formally. It is probably my own personal quirk, but I see cropped pants as casual wear, best worn with flat shoes.

I'm afraid that I don't like this ensemble. I dislike the print of the top and the waist seam line which breaks the flow of the design. Despite my quibbles, I appreciate that the Queen looks polished and well put together. The teal and brick orange within the pattern pop against the rich navy of the trousers, whilst the earrings beautifully echo the florals, adding a touch of finesse to the look. However, I think this blouse may look best styled with jeans or chinos. For me, there is a slight disconnect between the airy chiffon of the blouse versus the cropped trousers and sleek pumps. I had a brief look at the Indi & Cold website and there were some lovely pieces, I would have been inclined to highlight this brand during their summer week in Mallorca or at an engagement where denim would be considered appropriate.

I thought the other Indi & Co tops looked like a great way to dip into boho without having to go the full hippy. Letizia's blouse looks awkward to me simply by reflecting maternity style. I think the fabric may be too floaty and fails to hang convincingly.

Bertie, even though I love the top I also felt the it could be used for maternity wear but I was too afraid to say so. I'm glad you had the courage.

She can't wear a Basque brand in Mallorca, it would be odd. She has worn it in Madrid at a "audiencia" to please them, in my opinion.

Beautiful fabric but it looks too much like a maternity top to be really flattering. I Love the earrings.

Vickie, I think these loose fitting tops were designed specifically for skinny pants. They help balance the tight fit of the pants by emphasizing the top part of the body. I think they look fabulous if worn in that way. But, I can see how the wider leg pants make them look like maternity wear.

While the individual pieces don't thrill me, the ensemble works really well together as a whole and I really like it! Something about the colours really make the wearer shine! The point on the top of the shoe turns a boring court shoe into something interesting. I'm also inspired by her lip colour for spring.

Simple and perfect, I prefer these classic outfits to the more experimental outfits that QL wears. The cuffed trousers and the unique pointed pumps add interest to a floaty chiffon top. I think the hippy top is balanced by the slim leg of the trouser. Genevieve, I am also curious to see when QL changes up her makeup slightly- here it seems she is trying a nude lip to echo the beige tones in the top!

I love the blouse! But I can't help but think the pants are too casual for this meeting. She seems underdressed compared to other people there.

Underdresed? The other people? Have you seen the woman in the far left in a dress which hemline is so different that is a mini and a gown at the same time? The other one wearing a mini, and the other who looks like the "exorcist girl"? They are journalist...but..

Here we have been speaking just the contrary. Simplicity and you will not crave attention.

EVERYONE else is wearing a suit jacket, except the Queen, who is wearing a floaty boho-style blouse. I suspect Jennifer F above would agree with me that it's too casual - she wrote that the blouse would go better with chinos or denim.

So the rest are right? , she is the Queen and she sets the protocol, the rest could have worn a gown.
Las Auduencias in Zarzuela (at home) with the heating on are to be like that.

I do not undesrtand why you insist with other people who in fact are republicans and against the Monarchy. Do you wear a blazer at home? A bit odd.

Also as Wendy says, she wears a Basque thing to be seen, in a proper politic time, it has nothing to do with "casual" if not with the separatists moviments in Spain.
In Spain the interpretation is totally different

I love the Indi & Cold print, it has a vintage, oriental look about it. I'm not so impressed with the smock styling though as it adds bulk to tiny Letizia. It also doesn't seem to sit well with all the ruffling on bodice, neck, and sleeves looking slightly stiff, on top of which the front hem seems to be pulled up. The smart crop pants are wonderful and pull the whole thing together well enough. I can see how the earrings reference the colour and pattern of the print but can't help finding them a bit too strung out against the blouse. Maybe a solid hoop rather than flimsy drops might have worked. As ever, Letizia looks elegant and polished overall.

She is wearing a blouse from a Basque brand, also a sustainable cloth. She has never worn anything from the Basque Country. A wink to the Basques, in a proprer momment. they do not visit that land very much, it is a very difficult, perhaps.
The clothes are the less important, in fact.

Obviously here people do not understand the political thing about the blouse.
The Basque Country is a separatist place antimonarchist and againts "Spain".

The nonsense about the "casual" or not is a nonsense in this country and the last thing. It is the political issue, it has nothing to do with fashion.

I think that people should learn a bit more about the political and cultural themes in Spain and they will understand more.
Felipe is the Head of State, not a footballer, so their clothes many times have a meaning.
And I wonder how people think that the commoners and republicans know more than the Queen about protocol, sometimes they could triying to bother her.
This is not UK.

I love the cut, fit and length of these cropped pants. The colours within the blouse beautifully highlight the luscious navy of the pants. My favourite colour for pants. I like the blouse, but with these cropped pants the excess "flowy" of fabric overwhelms the Queens tiny frame. Regardless she look lovely, polished and smart. The earrings, delicate, gorgeous feminine piece.
