Queen Letizia debuts Maria Barragan co-ord set for Children's Literary Awards

The Queen of Spain presided over the ceremony for the authors awarded in the 44th edition of the Children's and Young People's Literature Awards, "El Barco de Vapor" and "Gran Angular".

The annual awards in Madrid are organised by the SM Foundation whose goal is to promote youth-focused books and reading.

Something new! I think this outfit has a bit of a "wow" factor with the unique color and the cowl-like neckline and the high waisted trousers. The winter white coat was the perfect addition to combat the cooler weather. The metallic shoes and clutch set off the outfit perfectly. My only quibble is the fit of the trousers. They could be tailored a bit better, but all in all a beautiful ensemble on the queen!

This is an unusual outfit and I love it. The sage colour is vibrant and beautiful. The sleeveless top gives a seamless look to the outfit along with the wide leg pants. They flow together almost appearing as a jumpsuit. The button detail on the waistband adds some interest and the fabric looks great in motion.

Very chic jumpsuit! And the shade of green is very becoming to her. I love how the queen is so fashion-forward yet age-appropriate. I would have chosen black accessories (instead of gold) to provide more contrast with all the green, however. The white coat enlivens the green, however.

What a very slinky outfit from Maria Barragan for Letizia, she is quite the scene-stealer in these separates. I love how the top combines a loose neck and soft folds of fabric to create an unstructured shape in contrast over the sleek fitting pants.

The fullness of the wide flares seems most appropriate at an awards ceremony. The two decorative waist tabs help secure the combination of top and trousers and the final touch of gold metallic clutch and pumps from Magrit is perfect. The winter white Varela coat remains luxurious and fabulous. Bravo Letizia!

This is a splendid outfit. Stylish, smart and chic. The Teal color is a wonderful shade. The high waisted pants are simply divine, the fit is perfect.
In motion, I noticed they move beautifully and fall precisely. The two waist tabs add definition, excellent. The top is very feminine, sitting nicely tucked into the pants, cut brilliantly. The cowl neckline and soft draping/folds is appealing and adds a feminine touch.
The white Valera coat, looks fabulous, perfect choice, elegant.
The metallic shoes and clutch blend in beautifully. Love the gold hooped earrings. Queen Letizia's light on makeup looked exceptionally good, the matt colors suit and enhance her natural beauty.

This is my second favorite look of the year! In first place is the emerald green ensemble she wore for Prince Philip's Service of Thanksgiving. Letizia looks great in green and it's a color I would love to see her wear more often.
