Vocational Training in Spain exceeded one million students for the first time.  The courses on offer respond to the skills needed for the labour market.

I like the classic black and white. The lower heel shoe is a nice change from stilettos and much easier on the body. They are actually sling backs, not mules as stated. The blouse is a miss for me. It has far too much happening with all the lace and ruffles and overly exaggerated sleeves.

Sadly, this ensemble doesn't work for me. The bohemian-inspired top doesn't gel with the sleek black trousers. Uterqüe styled the top with white jeans and khaki trousers - I like the latter (see link). The khaki wide-leg trousers help balance the volume of the sleeves. In addition, the two items are equally casual and flow harmoniously together.

Keeping the look approachable for meeting students, I would have preferred the black trousers and slingbacks with either the Hugo Boss 'Cherri' top worn on 27/06/17 or the Carolina Herrera top worn on 21/08/2017.

I agree with you that the outfit lacks balance, the contrast with such sleek, narrow pants is too sharp to be comfortable. Unfortunately my own view of the blouse is so negative I can't imagine what could possibly go with it! But a wider leg pant would help with visual balance.

Hi Bertie, I completely agree. Not only are the proportions off, but there is a sharp transition in 'style' between the blouse and bottoms. As a result, the ensemble doesn't flow comfortably. I'm not a fan of the blouse either.

This blouse is a work of art! I have a short sleeved version without the ruffles. I love creative, unique designs that are not too garish. It's a garment that you won't see everywhere and not everyone can wear it. The combination of the lace and ruffles is superb and is shown to it's best advantage paired with plain black pants.

I do not understand the "sleeves" thing" again. The webs are full of this kind of blouses this autumn, It seems they are a "must" and have all the Spanish references, ruffles, lace, etc..

This blouse, while beautiful in itself, is way too busy on HM slight frame. It swallows her up. It doesn't seem to be hanging right in the lower front either. And for me at least, it's a little on the young side for HM. It would be nice in a casual environment, maybe, with light pants or even jeans at a family picnic or something, but not in this configuration.

I so sorry but you can't wear this kind of blouses to a "picnic", thing that is not a Spanish tradition at all, we do not do "picnics", and as Sandy said , it is a work of art , worn even at weddings. Probably you do not know Spanish culture at all, and our traditional gowns and customes.

A picnic in a shirt that costs 150 or 200 euros? You must be very rich in your country, here we go to the beach in a t-shirt or to the mountain in sport clothes. Our Monarchy goes out to dinner many times by Madrid and they wear very casual clothes, Zara, Mango or those brands.

I would wear it to a picnic, or family BBQ with jeans and sneakers.

In Spain, we do not wear "traditional" outfits to the mountain..have you ever seen a traditional flamenca gown? I bet not...It is as if an English would wear a kilt to a BBQ.
By the way, no BBQ in Madrid, It is a Big city and we go to restaurants, the mountains are a bit far away, and we live in apartaments.

PS: the blouse will go to the hell after all the smell. You can wear what you want, in Spain we do not wear It, as you are speaking about things we do not do.

In Spain the family gathers at home, not BBQs or junk food, It is very bad perceived. Our kitchen is apart to not end up with all the smell on, obviously we do not cook in a blouse either ,we eat lots of fish, vegetables, fruits and legumes. I do not see Felipe VI , friying sausages, our Monarchy is very close, but that is too much..I have only see a BBQ on TV.

Whoa, settle down haha. I stated how I would wear it, not how others or the Spanish should. It's not uncommon to wear white blouses, dresses to a picnic, BBQ, family gathering in Australia. I'm sure Elizabeth would agree. Now let's all calm down and accept that every culture is different **HUGS**

I love this outfit. The blouse is fabulous, its busy but its unusual, very feminine. The black pants look great, especially with the slingback mules, they are so cute!

It is the traditional blouse to go to the church on Sundays in Spain, Portugal and Italy. Picnics, Barbacues? Do you think that you are in the USA? Have people gone mad? My grandmother usually had some handmade and was inhereted by her daughters.

Sometimes a bit of knowledge of the culture of the country...some think that their culture is universal and show some lack of respect.

Picnics?? BBQs? An American movie? Are you aware that you are speaking about Spain?
In Greece we also wear white blouses handmade by tradition, even men as part of the traditional Greek outfit. Travelling helps to understand other cultures..We bake lamb in an owen on Sundays for the whole family but not in white blouses.

Fun to read the comments when the ensemble is polarizing. I love the blouse and its pairing with the sleek black trouser. I think it could work with a wide-legged pant but on someone with a larger frame. I find this ensemble perfectly suited to the occasion - fresh and young but not too young for the wearer.

The Uterque peasant blouse doesn't work for me, it comes up too bulky and awkward in shape. I suppose it has the advantage of standing out which is by way of a plus on royal outings. The Hugo Boss pants are great and I love the Carrie slingbacks from Iasabel Abdo.

Final remark from me; Re "kilts at BBQ", consider the photos of HM Elizabeth and Phillip, wearing KILTS, or skirts, sweaters, blouses, etc., at family picnics in Scotland. Cultures vary; HM blouse would look great at an outdoor party or picnic in some areas, not all. A beautiful art work I suppose, but not so precious it could not be worn wherever one wanted to wear it.
