I love Queen Letizia's adventurous sartorial spirit! Whilst this is something I would not personally wear, she pulls it off with such confidence that I can't help but love it!

Actually the styleis very common in Andalucia, the South of Spain, as the designer belongs to the House of Alba, all the family wears her clothes.
The Aristocracy in Spain is very edgy, it has nothing to do with other places as England.
The late Duchess of Alba was "hippie"..even at 90.

Inés Domeq, the designer, is an aristocrat, her husband is one of the sons of the Duchess of Alba, the woman who had most titles in the world, Alfonso Martínez de Irujo Fitz -James Stuart. Himself he is marchese two times, count, three times..lol...

Here qwe have the baptism of the next Duchess of Alba, actually her grandad is the current Duke of Alba. The Duchess of Huescar is wearing one of Inés Domeq designs.

An Inés Domeq's web: it is traditional Andalucía.

At first, I thought this was a pants and top combo. because of the belt. Even though it is a jumpsuit I think it is an amazing outfit. The ruffles make it really original and I think it looks good on Letizia. It makes her stand out and emphasizes her shoulders and great arms. I like the fact she wore something daring and wasn't afraid to try something new.

I neither like nor dislike this jumpsuit. As a whole, the ensemble underwhelms me in the same way that the avant-garde Pertegaz puff sleeve top did earlier in the year 10/03/21. If the Queen and her stylist are going to choose these high volume pieces, styling needs to be more creative to fully embrace the look. For me, the black office shoes, belt and heavy croc bag do not blend with the playful, summer, jumpsuit.

Although completely different in style, I imagine The IQ jumpsuit was similar in price at €135 to the white Massimo Dutti jumpsuit worn here (29/06/17). The MD creased badly, crude lines could be seen through the bodice where the fabric folded over down the V-neck line and in some photographs you could see the outline of Letizia's bra through the thin material. White can be unforgiving if unlined, in this instance, the denim mostly prevents all of the above (except the creases at the tops of the thighs from the car journey) and it holds its structure well.

In regards to The IQ jumpsuit, I would have shortened the length of the trousers so that the hems hit mid-ankle, removed the belt loops and belt, and possibly replaced the black button with a tortoiseshell one. The Queen obviously seeks a glamorous look, if pumps must be worn surely tan would be better... or preferably, minimalist heeled sandals, similar to the link below, (I have seen many companies imitate this design for a fraction of the price in all colours) along with a small ivory or beige clutch and gold earrings.

I'm not quite on board with this space-age ruffle pant suit and its exaggerated inverted triangle top. I can see the ruffles may have something of flamenco about them, but am not sure Letizia is able to carry them off without being slightly overwhelmed.

That said, the rest of the garment fits like a dream and black accessories finish it off nicely, acting as a defining restraint.
