This outfit gives off an ethereal vibe with it's delicate, elegant and graceful look. The soft flowing fabric of the top is very romantic and I love the style because I am a cape lover. It's nice to see Letizia trying some brand new looks.

Wow, I simply love this On Atlas cape outfit, what a fine pick for a contemporary art fair, the top referencing an artist smock perhaps. It's so well put together with the stand-up collar and flowing cape style, the fabric has perfect drape which falls almost like sleeves over the arms. It's a good length too, kept short enough to avoid impeding movement.

Firstly, I commend On Atlas's commitment to sustainability, with the use of recycled fabrics and manufacturing their garments in Spain. However, this outfit could have been sensational if it were made in heavier lined fabric and styled inspiringly. In terms of design, I adore the subtle nods to the '60s with the high neck, layering of garments and relaxed silhouette. The lines are long and elegant, the fluttering cape and triangular hems provide drama to the monochromatic look. Sadly, the fabric has little weight, it doesn't fall or move as a soft crepe would. As I so often mention, white can be unforgiving if unlined - unfortunately, you can see where the hems have been turned under, zip detailing, seaming, etc. In addition, the fabric creased badly during the car journey. With regard to the accessories, the jasmine drop earrings bring further retro charm and the patent slingbacks add polish. For a repeat, delicate metallic sandals, a small white box clutch and an updo with a sleek side parting may bring more glamour to the minimalist set.

I take your point about the quality of the fabric leaving hem, zip, and seam detailing exposed, not to mention the marked creasing, but, please forgive me, I was a little puzzled by your suggestion of lining the cape. I would have thought it would add too much weight and lose the fluttering quality you mention which I thought was essential to how the garment worked. I felt the lightness of the folds were able to help the fabric work almost like sleeves when it fitted round the arms and I can't imagine a light enough lining that would work. Forgive me! Love your comments and admire your insights.

Hi Bertie, sorry for the late reply, it's been a hectic week. Good points! I love your comments too :o). I'd like to somewhat revise my original comment. I think it would be too much of a headache to line the set. I'm happy to sacrifice some of the fluttering effect of the cape, and triangular hems. I'd make the cape in unlined crepe and the trousers in lined crepe. I would reconfigure the design of the trousers into a very subtle flared silhouette (no hem detail). The ensemble would indeed be heavier, but it would drape and swish. If you look at On Atlas's stock photographs on their website, the model is wearing a brown bodysuit underneath the set which can be seen through the fabric - this worries me. Luckily, Letizia doesn't seem to have that problem.

Well, if we're starting again with good fresh crepe I think you're on to something!

Oh goodness! what a sensational outfit, stunning. This outfit is superb, the Queen looks immaculately groomed. Its simple, different and unusual, effortlessly elegant, wow! The cape falls beautifully down to the wrists. The standup collar is a marvellous addition, I love this. The pants are excellent, the fit and flair at the bottom, with the introduction of a V, perfect. Her hair pulled back, shows the cape off to its best advantage, nothing is hidden. For me this would have to be one of the most outstanding, different but classic looks, yet casual the Queen has worn. P.S I would so love this in my wardrobe!

Hi Sandy, unfortunately my sewing skills leave much to be desired. I will certainly be on the lookout though for a similar look!

I really love the combination with nude shoes or resisting the temptation to have everything in white. Recently I see the white pumps appearing all around and they look same cheap as they looked in 90s when I wore them :-)
