Queen Letizia departs for Netherlands in sharp Hugo Boss pantsuit

On Tuesday, King Felipe VI and Queen Letizia of Spain were bid farewell with honors at Madrid-Barajas Airport as they departed for a three-day State Visit to the Kingdom of the Netherlands.

The aim of the trip is to continue the traditional friendship between the two royal houses and to underscore and reinforce the bilateral ties and relations between the two countries. The last State Visit to the Netherlands took place in 2001 during the reign of King Juan Carlos, while Spain received the State Visit of Queen Beatrix in 1985.

This is a simple, elegant pantsuit and the white camisole looks great against the black. I like the cuffs on the pants. You usually see them on wide leg pants but I think they work on these tapered ones as well.
The shoes are gorgeous.

I'm loving the new Hugo Boss ensemble, with single breasted jacket and slim leg pants all is very neat and practical. The mini turn-ups on the pants are just the right touch of quirky to enliven the monochrome.

I very much like the new Massimo Dutti slingbacks and think Letizia has been truly creative in her adaptation to lower heels, which are certainly better suited to pant suits. But in this instance I find the Instep Strap a touch out of synch with the chic suit, almost a party vibe in the wrong context. I always love the Gold & Roses Triple Hoops and overall would have this outfit down as a win.

I agree with all you say, Bertie. This is a stellar outfit, but the shoes are wrong and the strap, as you say gives a "party vibe." The black pant suit needs a more conservative shoe.

This is a subtle and streamlined pantsuit, practical, but stylish. I love the shoes, and I don't mind them at all with these pants.
