The Queen of Spain was in Burgos today to open the 'Angeli' exhibition organized by the 'Las Edades del Hombre' Foundation at Iglesia De San Pedro Church in Lerma village.

The exhibition will be open to the public from April to November, and is dedicated to the figure of angels and their transcendence in the Christian faith.

Her Majesty spent time with the locals following the tour of the exhibition.

For today's trip to northern Spain, Queen Letizia wore a cream/camel double face wool coat which has been in her closet since at least 2005!

She complemented the dual-tone coat with her vanilla white Hugo Boss 'Banora' silk blouse (£169) and tan Hugo Boss 'Alantia' trousers.

Letizia's coat proves that a quality, classic item of clothing is timeless. I have a coat that is 20 years old. There is nothing cutting edge or trendy about it. My coat is a neutral colour and a classic look and I always get compliments when I wear it. I call this investment dressing.

I just wondering if you knew that this outfit isn't listed in Queen Letizia's outfits.

Such a soft, quiet look. The muted colours and simple design feel somewhat refreshing after a week of high impact outfits. Overall I think this outfit sits comfortably together, although I don't like the shoes and their colour is just slightly off against the trousers, but the colour of the shoes works well with the underside of the belt. I love the ankle grazing length of the trousers and the dainty earrings are perfectly matched to the blouse, it's so elegant with it's delicate pleated details (If I could have one thing from Hugo Boss it would be this blouse). I'm shocked that this coat dates back to 2005, it looks brand new and is very current with it's double faceted style. Hair and makeup are natural and effortless.

Agreed, this blouse is delightful.

I'll be glad when the cropped trouser trend is over. There hardly are any full length ones around. At least spring is coming. I'm tired of having cold ankles here in Canada!

Anyway, I like this outfit as a whole. It's friendly, soft, and grounded.

The Queen looks lovely in this ensemble. Just love the coat and the two tone colour belt, gorgeous. She looks fantastic in this outfit

The coat is reversible, you can wear it the other way round in camel.
The shoes were needed as all is cobbled in Lerma.

Visiting the Monastery of San Blas; it seems that the protocol did not allow it but the nuns were eager to know her and she decided to visit them.

The coat and blouse are beautiful. The pants and shoes not so much. I just don't like the length of the pants and they look strange with the coat. The pant length suggest warmer climate and the coat suggests colder climate. So it's an oxymoron to put them together.
Does anyone know if Letizia has worn the coat with the camel side showing?

I really have to hand it to Letizia, keeping this timeless coat so long and then being able to bring it out again and throw together an effortless recycle outfit. It’s all her trademark combination of classic clean lines and muted neutrals, but with more than enough fashion-edge to give real zing. She never fails to manage the edgy within a sober context.

The Hugo Boss crops are poetry in tailoring, cut-offs made charming rather than merely unfortunate, the fun addition of the bow perfectly judged, and the flattering jodhpur-gathered upper-leg all bang on-trend. The Boss blouse is perfect with its clean jewel-neck and ladylike gathers echoing the trouser waist below.

The Boss block heels add enough weight so that the whole doesn’t float away on a sea of bland while also adding their own discreet pop of fun. The two-tone coat works perfectly to contain the ensemble as a whole with the outer cream gently contrasted by the taupe reverse in movement. Letizia at her best.

Nicolette, it's never too late to learn another language. Spanish is one of the easier ones to learn. You can use the internet, public libraries etc. Go for it!

I always might teach you Castilian, while you English to me, LOL.. In fact the language is called like that: Castellano, Spanish would be as saying British....and it is very different to the spoken in South American Countries....
There are more languages in Spain, Catalá, Euskera, Galego which are official languages, they even study in them.
I have started very late....it keeps my mind working....

Hey Wendy. I am studying French myself and yes it is difficult at my advanced age of 54. But I'm not giving up. You can still learn at an older age and it's good for your brain helping you to avoid things like dementia. Your English is better than my French so keep up the good work!!

Sandy, Many thanks!! You're still young in your early 50s, they are the new 30s...people endure until older nowadays, specially women 🤗
Have a good one!!
