They are not on holidays this year, they will have many institutional meetings during about 10 days in the Balearic Islands and they are coming back to Madrid.

Obviously she is in Las Islas Baleares (Balearic Islands) so she is wearing an Ibiza dress.
I think they are visiting Ibiza tommorrow.

The dress is shapeless & way too long on Letizia and dwarfs her small frame ( I know, I know she is NOT short or petite). The eyelet fabric is a out of date and old-fashioned and the outfit reminds me of a nurses uniform.

I appreciate that this dress was chosen to endorse a Balearic Islands brand. I have seen more elegant versions of this style, that were slightly higher in price. €140 seems quite expensive for a standard straight shirt dress, with no tailoring to speak of. I noticed on the website that the dress is unlined, so the buyer has to find a white slip to wear underneath. The dress has been beautifully pressed and looks far stronger on the Queen than in the stock photograph. It would have benefitted from a few inches off of the length, but this would have made the dress similar to the Adolfo Dominguez white dress worn on  01/08/19. I wondered if there was another garment from the Vintage Ibiza website that could have been chosen instead, but I found this to be the most suitable piece.  As I have mentioned previously, I particularly dislike this pair of alpargatas.  The ground appears flat here, a pair of tan strappy flat sandals would have embodied the relaxed feel of the dress. They would have also differentiated it from past white dresses worn with alpargatas, and complimented the leather handles on the tote bag.

Agree with everything you say, Jennifer. This dress is so similar to the one worn in 2019. I preferred the shorter length of that one. Although I love embroiderie anglaise in white, both dresses looked limp, rather than fresh and crisp. Sandals would have been so much nicer, with this outfit and most of Letizia's summer dresses.

Letizia's Batista dress has many features I usually don't like, as I'm weary of all the embroiderie anglaise, and cotton tie belts end up pulling into a narrow twist, but perversely I quite like this one. It's a good length and looks comfy without becoming drab. The pink Macarenas are thankfully tucked away under the maxi skirt and the straw bag is fun.

The girls have surprised me again. Sophia has moved back into 'edgy' following a couple of more feminine outfits, I love the structured black gingham pattern used to blunt the prettiness of frilled sleeves. Meantime Eleanor is verging towards the more pretty princess style with her all-over floral. I love seeing their emerging characters.

Sorry but you have changed the name of the girls in English, I" m afraid.
Their names are Leonor and Sofía, not Eleonor and Sophia.

Dear Montse, in that case Spaniards should not call Queen Elisabeth la Reina Isabel de Inglaterra or the Prince of Wales Carlos de Gales, don't you think so? Querida Montse, entonces los españoles tendrían que llamar Queen Elisabeth II a la Reina isabel II de Inglaterra o a su hijo Carlos de Gales Prince Charles of Wales, ¿no te parece?

I like Leti in white and I love the embroidery. I would have loved to see her in any of the maxi dresses on the Ibiza website, but maybe these seemed too boho to Leti's taste.

This white shirt dress I like, though its long, its serviceable, I like the length. The sleeves are great, collar is perfect, the type of dress I would wear, pop on and look neat and comfortable, perfect for the summer weather. The only difference for me, would be slipping on a pair of sandals. Love the mini woven bag, perfect accessory with this ensemble.
