The King and Queen of Spain offered a State Dinner in honour of the President of the Republic of Korea, Moon Jae-In, and First Lady, Kim Jung-sook, at the Royal Palace of Madrid.
Before the State Dinner, Their Majesties welcomed Their Excellencies and attending guests. King Felipe VI delivered a speech and remarked that “Spain and Korea share fundamental principles and values, democratic institutions, respect for the rule of law, and the protection of human rights. He also stressed that “my wish, and that of the Queen, is that the interest of our peoples to know our respective cultures, the solid projection of our societies and companies in a global world and, above all, the values and principles that we share."
