For the event, Her Majesty made a sartorial nod to the Red Cross nurses uniform by wearing a mix of familiar pieces in the red, white and black colour scheme.

She teamed her patterned Carolina Herrera A-line skirt with her vanilla white Hugo Boss 'Banora' silk blouse (US$165.99).

Letizia also recycled her accessories. She carried her white Furla 'Metropolis' leather bag (US$348), and on her feet she wore red leather almond toe pumps which remain unidentified.

I was waiting for this event! It is my favorite styling of this skirt - I really like these shoes with it, far more than the over-the-knee red boots.

One thing though - this one does not have the ability to click the picture on the website of the 2018 outfits. You can get to it by going through the blog, but not through the outfit images.

Thank you so much for fixing the link, Elizabeth. I really appreciate it!

As for these shoes, which are like my favorite red shoes of hers (of course, the unidentified ones), one of the photographers you use, Jose Gegundez (sp?) has a picture of the bottom of the shoe. You can clearly see it says 38, but I can't make out the maker, and unfortunately, I am not skilled with cleaning up images.

I have studied and magnified the picture but still I still can't determine the brand :(

Some people are saying they might be by Felipe Varela.

It's been reported that the shoes either are by Hugo Boss or Felipe Varela. She wore them several times before. I remember having seen them for the first time some years ago by a state visit to the US. Afterwards she has worn them on Oct. 31, 2013 (www.magazinespain.com/el-look-rodero-de-la-princesa-letizia/),
Nov 2014/Feb2015 and Nov 2015 visit of the king and queen of Jordan.

Thank you so much for trying, Elizabeth.

On one hand, I am sorry you were unable to determine the brand. :( On the other hand, I am glad to know I was not the only one unable to manipulate the image to get a clear idea of who made them. :)

Yes Felipe Varela and Hugo Boss have been suggested for many years now but without confirmation.

The last two times Letizia wore this beautiful skirt she teamed it up with over the knee red boots which in my opinion didn't work. She also chose a white turtleneck on one occasion and a black turtleneck on the other occasion which also didn't show the skirt at it's best. This time she got it bang on because the skirt looks great paired with the beautiful white Boss silk blouse and red pumps. Bravo!
