Queen Letizia in Carolina Herrera repeats for Miguel de Cervantes Award ceremony
The King and Queen of Spain attended the prestigious 'Miguel de Cervantes' Award ceremony on Friday
The annual event is held at the University of Alcalá in the town of Alcalá de Henares - the birthplace of Spain's greatest writer, Miguel de Cervantes who is best known for his masterpiece, Don Quixote.
The award is one of the richest literary prizes in the world and is the most regarded literary awards in Spain and Latin America. It honours the lifetime achievement of an eminent writer in the Spanish language. This year, Their Majesties presented the Cervantes 2021 Prize to Uruguayan writer, Cristina Peri Rossi.

This romantic Herrera fur collar cape comes into its own when worn with knee-length straight skirt, it needs to be free from other distraction. The piped Herrera sheath worn underneath remains as lovely as ever, the tailoring and fit a big win on Letizia. I'm not sure the strappy Magrit Monica pumps are so successful this time, they seem a touch lightweight under the richer items above, and a classic court might be better suited. I continue in unashamed adoration of the Bvlgari diamond and sapphire hoops.

The CH dress is divine, as is the same the Queen has in red. The fit and cut of this dress is perfect, love the color. The shoes are gorgeous, I would love them in my wardrobe!, I agree with Bertie though, maybe not so well blended with the cape and piped dress. The fur collared cape is always a pleasure to see, beautiful piece. The Bvlgari diamond and sapphire hoop earrings are breathtaking. I do prefer them with the aquamarine drops the Queen wears on occasion, they are stunning. I thought the stones were aquamarine and not sapphire, noted on another blog, minor quibble. Regardless of the stone, the earrings are beautiful.
