Queen Letizia in familiar black and white Felipe Varela ensemble for Diplomatic Corps Reception31/1/2018
The King and Queen of Spain hosted the annual Diplomatic Corps reception at the Royal Palace of Madrid today.
Their Majesties greeted foreign diplomats and ambassadors as they arrived in the palace's Throne Room.
As she has done in the past for this gala event, Queen Letizia opted for a sartorial repeat.
Peeking under the the floor-length embroidered skirt were her black LODI patent pumps.
Letizia wore her hair loose and smoothed behind her ears, showcasing her elegant diamond and pearl drop earrings. These have been in her possession for well over a decade and I believe it is the first time she has worn them since becoming the Queen of Spain. The design is very similar to her bezel set diamonds and Australian pearl earrings.
Below is a gallery of Letizia's past looks at the annual reception:

Nice outfit, didn't really like the peplum waist on the blazer as it makes her hips look large and that in turn looks unbalanced against the silm skirt. But still a nice look over all.

I'm a big fan of black and white. It looks so striking. I love the white jacket- the design, fit, construction and contrasting black buttons.

Letizia is the queen of monochrome again here, a wonderful outfit with smart tailoring combined with a flash of leg and some gorgeous curly cut-out lace patterns. I'm fascinated at how Letizia uses full-length for daywear at events like these. Clever stuff
