The King and Queen of Spain travelled north out of Madrid today for a visit to the National Center for Food Technology and Security (CNTA) in the town of San Adrián.
Their visit marked the 25th anniversary of the opening of the research centre which contributes to the development and innovation of food companies and encourages competitiveness in the sector.
For today's engagement, Queen Letizia stepped out in her oriental-inspired Felipe Varela outfit, consisting of a white pencil skirt with a striking burgundy floral pattern, and a coordinating burgundy silk blouse.
The ensemble has been one of her favourites since she first wore it in June 2015 during the royal tour of Mexico:
Today she accessorized with her blush Magrit patent clutch bag and burgundy LODI suede ankle strap pumps.
She finished the look with her cabochon garnet dangle earrings.

Because Navarra is a especial place with Foral laws, people are asking for a referendum to not follow the monarchy...All the Spanish blogs say that they are visiting Navarra ..

Well, I'm sure that those readers that are interested in Basque, Catalan or any other autonomous movements or sentiments in Spain will be able to find their sources of information elsewhere. I do. Personally, I read this particular blog for fun and to relax and I applaud the fact that Elisabeth as been keeping it strictly sartorial.

She is a Queen, and what she does is very important, so some information can attract more donations or publicity ....sorry, this is my last message..

Thank you for your input Sara. I want to take this opportunity to reaffirm that my blog is strictly sartorial and I make no political statements. There are plenty of excellent blogs that cover these important topics. This blog only focuses on fashion with a light overview of the event. I do however encourage my readers to share their opinions and insights so long as the tone is kept friendly, respectful and relevant to the event. Thank you for your contribution.
