Queen Letizia donned a head-to-toe repeat of the outfit she wore for the Princess of Girona Foundation meeting in December.
The King and Queen of Spain attended the award ceremony of the National Research Awards 2018 today at the Royal Palace of El Pardo.
Queen Letizia donned a head-to-toe repeat of the outfit she wore for the Princess of Girona Foundation meeting in December.
The pieces include the Massimo Dutti wool check-dress with belt, and her custom blue Magrit 'Hawa' clutch and coordinating pumps.
Letizia again finished off the look with her Aldao diamond and aquamarine hoop earrings.

This dress is just okay to me. It looks like a heavy cotton type dress. I do like her in more colorful dresses more than the gray. I do love her shoes though!

After a string of great outfits I'm a little disappointed with this one, I find this dress quite nondescript and it's been styled in exactly the same way as it's previous wear. However, I love the fact that the Queen is endorsing the high street and wearing a relatively inexpensive dress that others could afford. The Queen's new teal Magrit shoes may have been a welcome change and coordinated with the King's tie. The Yanes white gold and diamond nautilus earrings may have have been a possible alternative and haven't been worn publicly for some time. Despite my reservations (hopefully I am in the minority) this outfit has the usual polish we have come to expect with Letizia and she succeeds in making a dress look far more expensive than it's original price tag.

I think it’s a lovely professional look. Not necessary to wear flashy outfits for every occasion, I’m sure she would catch a lot of flak in the press for doing so.

I actually like this dress. It does seem to overwhelm Letizia's small frame, but judging from the photo of the model that is in keeping with the style of the dress. Like others have said, I think she falls short in her accessories. A leather belt and different shoes and clutch could have made this look more interesting.

I think this is the typical that matches better with sneakers which are on fashion lately.

I still find the grey of this dress too uniform and dull, it hasn't improved for me on a second viewing. The check print and seaming on shoulders, placket and sleeve cuffs attempt to break it up but don't quite succeed. Some contrast colour accessories might help, although it would still be hard to counter the heaviness of the long hem.

I really like this dress with the understated business-professional vibe that Letizia has shown a partiality for. I wish she had finished it with a leather belt, however. The tie belt does not serve to soften the look; rather, it tends to look a little messy and make the dress lose definition around the waistline. The close up picture shows off the beauty of the plaid fabric, suggesting that this is a dress that does not photograph particularly well. It's like you have to be there.
