For today's ceremony held at the Royal Palace of El Pardo near Madrid, Queen Letizia brought back the red Carolina Herrera stretch-wool peplum dress.

She debuted the sheath dress in 2015 during a visit to Milan for the official ceremony of World Food Day,  and wore it again in 2016 for the 'Miguel de Cervantes' award luncheon.

Like Her Majesty has done on the past two occasions she has worn the dress, sheaccessorized with her TOUS gold long dangle shell earrings.

Today Letizia teamed the dress with her Carolina Herrera 'Maysa' clutch bag, and Magrit 'Liza' pumps in a custom red suede.

Great CH dress although it looks slightly too tight on the hips and bodice. The peplum is an unusual detail but it adds interest and suits Letizia. I love the design of the shoes but hate the reptilian purse.

The dress fits just as perfectly as at the first wearing. She looks great. The outfits from her princess days were underwhelming but she has stepped it up since 2014. There was a funny moment when the Infanta Sofia prize was brought out. It was almost as big as Letizia and the winner. The look on her face was priceless.

I simply love this red Hererra on Letizia, though I'd forgotten seeing it before this. The fit is superb and the tailoring craft in the scoop neck and the elbow length sleeve so understated while adding subtle contrast is very fine. But the peplum really wins the prize, such a change to see so fluid an example, and what a difference it makes from all those stiffer ones which can be the enemy even of a figure as trim as Letizia's. Fabulous,.

This is a fabulous look on Letizia. The fit is simple and clean to set off the peplum which looks particularly elegant in the profile photo. Those earrings are glorious! As for likes among the previous outfits, I'm spoilt for choice - from 2014 to 2017 are all lovely, while 2011 has an unusual boho vibe.

Wow, this is the first time I noticed that Letizia has gained some weight! It is a big diference between pictures in this dress in Italy or now. Off course, she looks great. It is also a big change in style since Letizia is a queen. I don't like any of the outfits untill 2013., but since 2013., I adore every style.

Really? Letizia gained weight? I feel like she's still rail thin! This dress looks amazing on her though - she has an amazing figure for clothes.

Letizia was rail thin for the past decade or so. She has started to put on some much needed weight and looks healthy and beautiful now. I agree clothes look great on her figure.

Maybe it's not so much that Letizia has put on any noticeable weight as that her face is now a little fuller 😉 She looked especially slender in the months after her father died.

Hi Bertie, You mean her grandfather, I suppose? Her father is still alive and kicking!
