Wow! QL looks great. Red RT dress is gorgeous with the beautiful hair. Love the earrings also! They go perfectly with her curls.

I'm not a fan of sandals in general. Especially platform sandals. Wish she wore different heels with this dress. Perhaps, red ones would be nice.

The Queen looks beautiful, this shade of red is definitely her colour. Love this cocktail dress, its the perfect fit, length is spot on. Shoes and clutch, are gorgeous a great combination. Diamond sparklers are so divine and a great add on. I am loving the Smokey eye makeup and soft waves of her hair compliment her so well. Very elegant, she just oozes style and class. Beautiful a total win for me!

I had failed to appreciate how pretty Letizia's hair is like this with this dress. I imagine the off-shoulder style helps give a clean backdrop to those waves. Thanks for helping to open my eyes!

It seems that earrings are a birthday gift from Felipe.

Well, El Mundo is the only "serious" newspaper who speak about Letizia's clothes. (In fact it is the second newspaper in Spain)......and do not forget that Letizia knows many of them since she worked as a journalist.

This was the 25th annyversary of El Mundo:

Letizia looks gorgeous in this superb dress. The whole outfit is outstanding. I prefer her hairstyle this time around. The last time she wore the dress in Argentina she wore it up and it didn't flatter her face. Red must be her favorite colour. I counted approximately 20 red dresses for day or evening since the coronation. Can you imagine how many clothes she has in her entire wardrobe?

I didn't like her hair that time either. The messy bun made her look stale and way too old.

This time the wavy curls are so amazing on her! Yeah, you're right, she wears a lot of red - red is a great colour on her.

This red dress is spectacular in every way! I like it with gold shoes and clutch, although I don't especially like the style of the shoes with the platform sole. The diamond earrings are beautiful, but I would have opted for gold earrings to carry through the gold theme.

Wow! QL looks like a movie star! She is never afraid to take risks and that is why she is the most interesting royal to watch. Thank you Elizabeth for all your hard work!

I'm just delighted to see this gorgeous Roberto Torretta again,it's a winner in my book. I think I prefer it with the gold accessories, though that leaves me puzzled as to why the silver set diamond earrings were worn. I thought Letizia was pretty good at not mixing the two metals in any one set of accessories, but not so this time. The earrings are beautiful and worn at a reasonable remove from the others, and maybe the shiny sandals have a sort of silvery sheen. Think maybe I'm struggling a bit here!

I think the mixing of gold and silver if done right can look quite nice. I think in this case it was subtle so it works.

in this case I think the earrings come under what might be called a 'visual match' ie too far apart and close enough in colour to coordinate without an obvious clash!

That dress is fantastic. It is simultaneously elegant and exciting. The hair and makeup complement perfectly. I for one am relieved she didn't wear red shoes as I never like them with a red ensemble. To me these are just right for the dress.

Queen Letizia looks stunning! The tailored midi dress is a considered contrast to the relaxed silhouette of the Lola Li we saw in September. I love her confidence in modern royal dressing. Roberto Torretta's design is strong, the red column works boldly with the gold accents. You immediately notice the architectural line but it is only when you inspect the dress closer that you see the sculpted details of the bodice. The length and cut are perfect, there is a clean hang from the waist down. Generally, I prefer her hair straight but the soft waves add a lightness to the look. Rose gold eye makeup complements the diamond earrings which I think are set in gold. They are a wonderful addition to her jewellery box and will prove versatile with formal day wear, like the Bvlgari aquamarine teardrops. Felipe Varela's 2014 dress for El Mundo's 25th anniversary(20/10/14) was an equally beautiful ensemble albeit in a more classical style. The combination of royal blue and midnight crystals was breathtaking along with the raised scooped neckline that revealed her delicate decolletage.

I love the originality of the asymmetric neckline with its raised ruffle, simple and highly effective. Agree with you about the versatility of those gorgeous earrings, though I can't myself see a gold setting on them. Good point about rose-gold eye make-up softening any transition between gold and silver. I looked up that 2014 dress, thaks for the tip, another absolute stunner!
