Queen Letizia is chic in culottes for audiences at the Palace

The Queen of Spain welcomed audiences at the Palace of Zarzuela today for her first hearings of 2018.

Queen Letizia looked business chic in a pair of beige cropped trousers teamed with a soft white pintuck blouse.

The pants are the Hugo Boss 'Alantia' Wool Trousers (€199) from the German brand's Fall/Winter 2017/18 collection. The high-waist trousers feature a self-tie belt and four besom pockets.

Here's a closer look at silky billow sleeve blouse. It's origin is unknown.

On her feet she wore her camel Hugo Boss block-heel pumps.

Letizia accessoried the ensemble with her Atelier Swarovski Kalix Double Stud Pierced Earrings which we first saw in July 2016 for the Spanish Olympic team send-off at Madrid airport.

I love the blouse and I wish I had one just like it. It is so beautiful with those pleats. However, I don't like the length of the pants. It is just not pleasing to the eye. The colour is lovely but a longer length would have been more appropriate. Lately Letizia seems to be missing the mark of perfection that she once had.

Sandy, I think it's the shoes that are throwing the look off. They appear to "heavy" and the wrong color to properly compliment the pants. The eye is just drawn down to them. Maybe a slimmer heel or sling back would have carried the feminine vibe of this outfit all the way from head to toe.

I really like this outfit! The blouse is darling and I love the pants! I like the length of the pants because you can see her adorable shoes. Love that you can tie it at the waste.

I'm surprised that the pants are being called culottes. I always thought culottes were wide legged pants that gave the appearance of a skirt. As the legs moved it became obvious that it was pants, not a skirt.

I like the outfit and the colour combination especially the blouse but I think that the shoes are just too dark and don't complement the outfit.

I have problems with this outfit as There's a little too much detail going on with the waist tie and the fussy blouse. Adore those shoes
