Queen Letizia is glamorous in grey for art exhibition opening

The King and Queen of Spain presided over the opening of the exhibition The Poetics of Democracy - Images and Counter-Images from the Spanish Transition at the Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofía in Madrid.

Queen Letizia stepped out in a new grey a-line dress with a shawl collar and tonal check pattern. The brand is currently unknown. She cinched in the waist with a black skinny leather belt.

Letizia teamed the dress with her Hugo Boss BOSS 'Bespoke T. Handle M' bag, and black Prada Saffiano print patent leather pointy toe pumps.

She topped off the outfit with her Chanel 'Plume' earrings.

So classy and elegant. I love the way she twisted the belt, it is a really cool idea if the belt is too long and I LOVE the bag. I don't know why but somehow it reminds me of Grace Kelly.

This is an elegant and somber look. It is just a little on the plain side, I think. Thank you for maintaining this blog. I think Queen Letizia and Princess Charlene are the most elegant royals, and I appreciate the chance to see this queen regularly and get information about her outfits.

I know gray is often considered dull and drab but it's one of my favorite neutral tones because it is so versatile. I find this dress very beautiful and it sort of has a 1950's vibe. And I think the way Letizia styled it with the skinny belt and black shoes looks gorgeous.. The style of the dress is also superb with the shawl collar, fitted top and wide skirt. It's a simple yet elegant look.

This is a sensible outfit, rather than a glamorous outfit. Still Letizia makes is look elegant. Like what she did with the belt, I might try that myself.

In theory, I like this dress, but it doesn't seem to fit Letizia very well. The tailoring seems off somehow, looks like it's a bit too big. The purse is divine though!

I'm not a big fan of this dress, it seems a bit heavy both in colour tone and fullness of fabric, and leaves Letizia on the wrong side of drab. Maybe I'm just having an off-day. The shawl collar looks a bit ageing and I don't like the way the belt is poking down at an odd angle which looks awkward to me rather than chic. Love bag, shoes and earrings though!!
