Crafted in silk organza, this Carolina Herrera dress features a bateau neckline, full length velvet sleeves, midi length skirt, and a cascading sequin embroidered designs throughout. The piece is from the designer's Fall 2017 collection.
The new dress was teamed with familiar accessories, including her red Reliquia 'Archy' handbag and burgundy Lodi suede ankle strap pumps.

This dress, while beautiful, seems a bit too dressy for the occasion. Seems more like a cocktail dress to me. I'm really not fond of the middle part for her hair but the curl is a refreshing change

I agree, Vanessa. I love everything about the dress especially the burgundy colour and the contrasting fabric on the belt and sleeves. It is beautiful but more suitable for a formal occasion in the evening.

It was in the evening, in the morning they were at the mausoleum. You can see it got dark when they are getting on the plane.

I love this dress to bits, the sequin detailing is fabulous and works an ancient craft in a modern abstract pattern which is brilliant. My only quibble might be that the embellished chiffon doesn't lie or hang well which detracts a smidgeon from what might have been a smooth line.

A gorgeous sumptuous dress befitting a Queen. I wish it had been styled in a similar way to the runway presentation with black opaque tights and ankle strap tie shoes, it would have been glorious and helped break up the red. I don't care for this particular clutch - I feel that it is too large and structural for the feminine shape of the dress. I hope we see this Carolina Herrera again around the festive season.

This is a lovely dress, a little unusual, but I think she looks fantastic. Her accessories are just right. Her hair for this occasion looks lovely.

This is a stunning dress on Queen Letizia and it looks fabulous from the different angles in the photos. As said above, a beautifully co-ordinated outfit.

This dress is so sophisticated and red is Letezia’color, as we all agree! Loved her hair, earrings, shoes, and makeup too. One small quibble, would prefer a smaller dressier clutch. A very successful trip, style wise.

The entire Moroccan suitcase was exceptional. Pity she only acts as arm candy at these events. It would be quite earthshaking and many steps forward if the husband for once sat in the audience and turned over his notes to her. He would probably receive more praise than she. We live in hope.

That's imposible, he is the Monarch, she only the consort, when he is there...

Nothing is impossible. They are selling an image, and recognizing the image of the modern woman would be priceless. The King and Queen of Jordan recently visited the University of Jordan. See who was the speaker and who sat in the audience. .. and please stop with the she is only a consort nonsense. It's a nasty sexist putdown of a woman by another woman. Her CV says she is more than that..

Her CV is terrific! But things are like that, not sexist...Leonor will be the Queen, her husband a nodody...

Zoe, there is a time and place for Letizia to have her platform, but this occasion was not one of them. Letizia does plenty of solo engagements and she is a great role model in the way she speaks about the causes she represents. This has nothing to do with sexism, so Zoe I don't even know why you would bring this up. If this was Queen Elizabeth, she would be speaking not Prince Philip just because he is male. So stop making this about gender when it's not.

'Only' before the word consort is not an uplifting term. This was not the venue but there are many journalism events where she who is a certified professional does not speak. She has read his speeches here and there but he was not in the audience..Valencia for example. It would not diminish his prominence but would be a nod to especially to young women who try to excel at whatever they do. Public opinion among the young (who are moving away from archaic rules) is important to them.

It is from Fall 2017, as Elizabeth points out, so she must have bought it cheaper..

I can't fault this ensemble. I like that it's unique and the beading on the bodice is particularly interesting but I'm just not excited about the look overall.
