The King and Queen of Spain arrived in Argentina on Sunday evening for a three-day State Visit which will serve to highlight and strengthen the historical ties and the bilateral relations between the two countries.

Queen Letizia disembarked wearing a new jade green dress by Hugo Boss. It is the brand's 'Dadoria' Sleeveless Belted Sheath Dress  - with thanks to @HeavenQRF for the ID.

Cut to a midi length for modern appeal, the sheath silhouette features tapered pockets, a front slit and a buckled belt that defines the waist in a nod to the season's trench-coat styling. The $545 dress is available at Nordstrom, Saks Fifth Avenue, and Bloomingdales.

She offset the gorgeous green tone with cream leather supplements by Magrit. Letizia carried a new top zip clutch bag - the 'Cara' model (€290) featuring a knot detail on the front.

On her feet were the Magrit pumps she debuted in February during the Moroccan State Visit.

Unfortunately I could not find any close up shots of Letizia's earrings. I will update the post if  more photos and details become available.

This dress is divine! I love everything about this outfit. The dress has some great details especially the beautiful jade green colour & the belt with that dramatic buckle I also like how the center slit and strategically placed seams at the front and back highlight the excellent tailoring by HB. The cream purse and shoes look wonderful also. A great start to this state visit.

When I initially saw the photographs I thought this dress was suede, I think it would have been quite striking had it been. None the less this is still a great dress! and what a fabulous shade. Minor quibble, as much as I like the gorgeous shoes and clutch set, I'm not sure if the Prada beige saffiano pumps may have been a better colour match or a snakeskin set... the python Lidia Faro clutch and Magrit Mila pumps spring to mind.

Another simply gorgeous dress from Hugo Boss, classic basic shirtwaister tailoring with a hint of panache in the exaggerated long belt, which Letizia looks to have removed. No doubt it might get in the way of a formal engagement.
Those generous pocket edges add some quiet exaggeration of their own at the point where there's some extra roominess to the skirt, presumably an advantage in an equatorial climate. Love the unfussy plain hair and absence of jewellery, so chic. The Magrit clutch is very swish with its pretty knot feature, maybe a bit on the large side, but I think cream accessories are also good in a hot climate. My, but those are some killer pointy toes on those Magrit courts, typical Letizia to include an undertone of edge. Terrific arrival outfit.

Bertie, I was wondering what happened to the belt. I didn't notice she removed it. Glad she left the buckle though.

The belt is there, she has just shortened it.

I was wondering if Letizia had maybe just tucked the rest of the belt in behind the rest of it. But Wendy may be a bit more on the money with the idea that it may well have been shortened. It's the kind of detail that looks better in a studio shot than when one is deplaning and standing to attention on a runway.

I missed the details you spotted, those intriguing front vertical seams breaking up the monochrome and the neat front split. Whatever, I just love this dress!!
