Super quick post Elizabeth and Alessandra! Many thanks! I really like this look, it's unexpected and striking. The practicality of the trousers and loose fit blouse suits the engagement perfectly while still having flair. I love the way the Queen sat on the floor with the children, she looks warm and involved. I think this blouse has been worn previously with straight leg trousers on 27/07/17. I much prefer the billowing shape tucked into the high waist of the paper bag trousers, it looks effortless and chic. The airiness of the oversized pieces is balanced by one another and the perfect fit stops her from appearing swamped. The stark white belt is a great addition! the black line of the pleated fabric above adds interest while breaking the solid colour. How refreshing to see a pair kitten heels, they look classy against the cropped length. They have the same openness as the gorgeous suede navy pumps also by Nina Ricci. As always I adore Letizia's hair styled like this, it's so simple but incredibly flattering. The double dagger earrings provide the finishing touch to the surprisingly stylish look.

I'm back on my own Jennifer. Unfortunately Alessandra has been unable to assist due to personal reasons. You will all have to be extra patient with me especially since royal tour season is almost upon us!

PS. thanks for your continued support of my blog. I love reading your well thought out comments. It's this little community that keeps me going xo

Hi Elizabeth, I am sorry to hear that you are on your own, I hope Alessandra is okay! I am quite sure that this blog lights up little corners all over the world! I would love to be able to help is some small way. Sadly, I do not speak or read Spanish. I have become very familiar with the translate button on Casareal/Hola and of course your amazing inventories. If you ever needed anyone to send over a brief description of the event and whatever ID's have been found, I would be more than happy to help! Thank you so much for providing this wonderful space. Jen

Elizabeth, the beautiful CH red dress that Letizia wore to meet Spain's basketball players a few days ago is missing from the blog. I just wanted to let you know. Thanks.

I found myself wondering if you had lost your helper and very sorry to have it confirmed. Like Jennifer, I only wish I could help, but am unable to offer as much as she can. I'm relieved to hear this little community is appreciated, I worry that we expect too much of you on top of your other blog projects. At least Meghan is only touring in two short bursts as it were, about three days at the start and again the end with Harry tootling around all sorts for the week or so between. Thanks so much for this blog, it's such a lovely place to come to and a proper haven when stuff goes haywire elsewhere.

Dear Elisabeth,
We are a lot more people reading than writing.
I think we are not so little community ;)
I want to thank you for your efforts.
And thank the ones who always write and comment here.
I love reading you all

Nice clean look and black and white is always classic. The blouse is elegant in its simplicity and the cropped pants work well. Not sure that many of us could pull off such a wide contrasting belt, but Letizia certainly does. Like her choice of shoes. They are practical for this occasion and so much better for her feet and back than the stilettos. I love the unfussy look of her ponytail. Such a beautiful woman!

Torrejoncillo is a small town in Cáceres, Autonomous Communitie of Extremadura. 3000 people a rural place. All of them sang "happy birthday" to the Queen, you can hear it, the words are in Spanish but the music is the same that in English.

Aha!! A chance to learn some Spanish there, then?! Caceres is clearly tucked well away, I'm glad Letizia was able to visit and meet the local children.

I think this style of pant is called "paperbag". It's a new trend. I'm not sure I like them. They seem difficult to style. I don't care for Letizia's wide belt and with the tucked in top she appears short waisted. I like the fact she came up with a different look and I think it's a suitable outfit for the occasion. It's just not my cup of tea.

This is superb from Letizia, with the possible exception of the loose belt flap which has missed its loop, quite possibly unintentionally. But this is imaginative, fresh, and on-trend, while preserving Letizia's natural elegance. And what's more the High Street Uterque pants more than hold their own against more pricey labels. A pair of baggy crops with tapered legs neatly avoids a clownish effect and still embodies chic.

It's very neat how the high waistband gives contrast to the belt which would otherwise disappear into a white blouse. And it's only the width of the belt which gives enough waistline to keep full fabric under control both above and below. The neat low-heel Nina Ricci pumps are perfect, a better heel height with pants, and I'm happy to see the edgy double dagger earrings out for another airing. They make an appropriate youthful touch.

I like her outfit with the black and white look and that nice big white belt. A black and white pump in leather should have been wore with this type of outfit, she has the Magrit navy leather pumps with white contrast top. If she either purchase a pair like the Magrit pump it would have finished off the look to perfection.

This outfit is cute and looks comfortable. In the video you can see how gracefully she slides into a kid-sized chair and then onto the floor with the children! A perfect choice:)

Elizabeth, I think she owns the blouse since 2016 at least, 14/10/2016

Probably in Spain internet keeps more photos, made in the streets not by journalists.
