The Queen of Spain presided over the BBVA Microfinance Foundation (FMBBVA) act 'Connected by the Digital Opportunity' whose objective is to show the importance of digitisation as a lever for the development of people in vulnerable situations, at the Auditorio La Vela, Ciudad BBVA, Madrid

In the opening speech, Her Majesty emphasised the need to connect all people since the digital divide "is a very fine line between being left out or not from access to many services, such as knowledge or education." In addition, she pointed out that ending this inequality is "an issue that has to do with human rights, as recognised by the United Nations."
During the panel 'The challenge of technological disruptors to include the excluded' Mats Granryd, GSMA CEO, stated “Despite the fact that 94% of the world's population lives in covered areas, 43% still do not access the internet. The challenge today is to close the digital usage gap, which is seven times larger than the coverage gap," he stressed that, "illiteracy and lack of digital skills, along with cost, remain the main barriers to accessing the internet."

This dress, and others alike, are heavily inspired by Italian luxury fashion house Missoni. Sadly, I dislike the colourway, so the dress doesn't appeal to me. However, on the Queen, I appreciate that it fits nicely and the stripes match sensitively across the bodice and sleeves. Overall, Letizia looks polished with coordinating fuchsia accessories. Minor quibbles, the dress has a built-in waistband that subtly defines the waist. I find the purple belt unnecessary, the dress would flow more fluidly without it. In addition, I wish the lining ran the length of the dress as in some photographs you can see that the lining finishes just below the knee which I find distracting.

I suppose this is meant to be cut-price Missoni, It can be hard to find much at that price from the Italian label! That lining cut-off is very crude.

Hi Bertie, in regards to cost, some dresses by 'M Missoni' aren't much more than the Michonet - a light-weight knitted dress starts at £310 on their website. Deals can also be found on online luxury discount stores such as The Outnet. Understandably, Letizia wants to draw attention to Spanish brands. Sadly when she is on stage (from 1.44 onwards) you can see that the skirt hangs poorly. I'm unsure if it's because half of the skirt is without lining or if it's static issues.

Sorry, this dress is a no-go. It hangs limply, the hem is uneven and the addition of the belt cuts it in an odd place. The sleeves are too long and the way it clings when she walks seems to me to indicate the fabric is too thin. Pretty colors though and she always looks beautiful This is just not the best.

I think this dress is captivating and spectacular. The combination of colours and stripes show great skill in design and pattern which come together and create a great outfit. The belt was a smart way to divide the two patterns of stripes but I would have preferred it to be a bit thicker. It looks like a comfortable and warm dress that is perfect for autumn. It think the dress would have worked if the stripes went in the same direction but the way Michonet juxtaposed the horizontal with the vertical makes it so much more interesting.
I love it!

This look is a miss for me. The stripes going in two different directions detract. The belt is not necessary as there is already a defined waistline. Also the belt, shoes and purse, although in the same general colour palette, are all different shades. This clutters the look. The dress is too long and the fact that you can see where the lining ends adds even more confusion. There is nothing cohesive about this outfit.

I love the colors of this dress, but don't see the need for the belt. The belt made the waistline look a little sloppy. I love the fuschia shoes and purse!

This dress is not one of the best of HM. The fabric hangs limply around her legs, and the belt breaks up the line of the dress. Color is nice but I don't think this is the most flattering thing she has worn lately.

This is a beautiful dress, bright, colorful, gorgeous shades. The craftmanship of the patterning is wonderful. I like the addition of the belt, but maybe one of thicker texture. The length of this dress is perfect, love the colour of shoes, beautiful croc slingbacks. The CH shoulder bag is divine.

Such a pretty dress from Michonet though I can't help thinking the look of the pretty inset lozenge waistband has been confused by the addition of the purple croc belt. I can appreciate that a man-made fibre knit like this might be slippery and need fixing in place.

The overall colours are lovely in a chic take on an ethnic look, the intensity of horizontal purples and pinks increasing towards the wristbands especially. Switching to verticals on the skirt is a fun idea, but the colours seem to look paler and I'm not sure a very good hang has been achieved. Love the shocking pink Herrera accessories and gold hoops give a clear ethnic vibe.
