King Felipe and Queen Letizia are on an official State Visit to Argentina.  Their Majesties arrived in Buenos Aires yesterday evening, and this morning the King and Queen of Spain were formally received by the President and First Lady of Argentina at Government House for the official welcome.

For the official welcome, Queen Letizia looked effortless in an ivory midi dress by Spanish designer, Pedro Del Hierro.

The sleeveless dress is based off a design from the Spring/Summer 2019 collection (€349).

Made from 100% polyester, the dress features a round neckline with a fitted bodice and a pleated flared skirt. It appears Letizia had the long skirt modified and cropped to a midi length.

Her Majesty elevated the look with a sparkling pair of pearl drop earrings worn by her sister-in-law Infanta Elena on her wedding day.

Coincidently, the first time Letizia borrowed the earrings was when the President of Argentina and First Lady were on a State Visit to Spain in February 2017.  I wonder if the earrings have any connection to the South American nation?

Queen Letizia has nailed this look for this official welcome. This is a professional, understated and classy outfit. The earrings are lovely and the little punch of colour provided by the shoes and bag pulls it all together.

This is another lovely dress. It's simple but elegant and very feminine. But the ivory colour is a bit dull. It could have used a pearl necklace or some other accessory to enliven it. I noticed it was longer on the model almost ankle length. Letizia was very wise to shorten it because it's so much more flattering. I must add I think the Argentinian First Lady is also very beautiful and her navy dress with subtle polka dots is gorgeous.

This will go down as one of my favorite looks from 2019. What an elegant ensemble, the dress is so feminine while giving the appearance of being beautifully simple. The seams lines creating the fullness of the skirt are glorious particularly at the sides. I love the contrasting rust accessories and the earrings are dreamy too! Hair and makeup perfect. First Lady Juliana Awada has a real flair for fashion too and looks very stylish.

This Pedro del Hierro is straight up fantastic. It's so like other dresses Letizia has worn it's hard not to think it must be a repeat but our trusty admin doesn't say so! And I can't offhand remember what else she has worn from the label, other than a vague feeling that whatever it was I liked it lots.

Thanks for the close up of the fabulous seaming, such amazing shaping in there, leading naturally to full pleating that gives a full skirt without the heaviness that can accompany a midi-length.

The simplicity of the bodice is the kind of tailoring that has me in full fangirl mode. It looks like straightforward crew neck and sleeveless, but the skill lies in the exact shaping of both neckline and armholes, the latter nicely shaped with a hint of cutaway. The pale pink is delightfully summery for a warm climate, and the plum tone in clutch and shoes is the perfect contrast to define the outfit. Wavy hair with those exquisite earrings make the perfect finishing touch -- a win from me!

She wore a blue marine jumpsuit from a night in the Opera (I’m not sure). The jumpsuit had only one shoulder and a large cape. Simply AMAZING!

Thank you for the del Hierro update, Maryun - how could I forget that jumpsuit, possibly the most amazing thing Letizia has worn. Clearly PdH is one to watch!

The Queen looks beautiful. I really like this dress. She looks so elegant. The length is just right. Her accessories are a perfect colour they lift the outfit. But those earrings I love.

Is it just me or is the dropped waist a bit low for Letizia? It should be about an inch higher. I often have this problem, being petite, the seams just don't hit where they are supposed to... I agree that Ms. Juliana Awada looks amazing!
