The King and Queen of Spain attended the coronation of King Charles III at Westminster Abbey in London on Saturday.
Their Majesties joined other royals and dignitaries from around the world to witness the crowning of Charles III in a religious and formal ceremony conducted by the Archbishop of Canterbury.
Below is a video showing the arrival of King Felipe VI and Queen Letizia at the Abbey.
Many European royals have a deep relationship with the British royal family due to familial ties that span generations.
For this historic occasion, Queen Letizia looked picture-perfect in a pink ensemble, while King Felipe looked regal in his military uniform decorated with the Order of the Garter collar.
The skirt suit, worn by Her Majesty, is a bespoke design by Carolina Herrera. It features a peplum jacket with covered buttons down the centre front and tonal embroidery extending down from the neckline. It is complemented with a matching midi pencil skirt. Below is a closer look at the jacket detail.
Queen Letizia's coordinating pink accessories were also custom pieces by the Carolina Herrera fashion house. She carried a 'Scala Insignia' clutch and beige gloves, and on her feet were a pair of slingback leather pumps.
The Spanish Queen topped off her elegant ensemble with a Balel Oversized Dome Straw Hat which featured pink overlay netting. The "joyas de pasar" diamond chanton earrings were the perfect finishing touches to her stylish look.

I thought this suit was Felipe Varela. It looks like something Kate, the Princess of Wales would wear. It's a bit fussy with the embroidered bodice and flared peplum blazer but the colour is striking and vibrant especially for the rainy weather. The outfit is appropriate considering the significance of the ceremony. The straw hat with the pink netting is unusual.

The suit that Letizia is wearing is absolutely stunning. I like the colour, the detailing of the peplum, the self covered buttons and loops and especially the embroidery work on the jacket. The fact that the shoes and purse are a perfect colour match is a huge bonus. What I don't care for is the hat. It swamps Letizia and reminds me of a Chinese coolie hat, a lampshade, or a mushroom cap. I do wish she had worn a hat that was more restrained and smaller.

The spring pink ensemble is just stunning on Letizia. She always manages the appropriate juxtaposition between the classic and the edgy. Who will forget this look for the coronation. Can’t wait to hear Bertie’s opinion

This is superb tailoring from Caroline Herrera for this major historic event. I swear the work on the detailing makes it more regal than her own outfit on the day she and Felipe took the throne. The tonal embroidery and covered buttons are quietly ornate and stunning.

The most striking thing about this outfit is how prettily and unusually the hat frames QL's face. It's perfection. The colour of the suit is lovely, the jacket a tad busy, but overall a gorgeous outfit

Absolutely stunning! The hat I like, but in my opinion, I do not think it was quite fitting for the occasion.

The suit and hat are amazing. I really dislike this colour but the more I look at the photos, the look is growing on me. I would've thought the longer skirt and the busyness of the top would overwhelm her but they don't. This suit is brilliantly proportioned and cut. In my imagination, it is a nice cool-toned shade of yellow.
