King Felipe VI and Queen Letizia hosted the annual new year reception for the Diplomatic Corps accredited in Spain at the Royal Palace of Madrid.
Their Majesties greeted foreign diplomats and ambassadors as they arrived in the Palace's Throne Room.
The Apostolic Nuncio to Spain, Bernardito Cleopas Auza, delivered his address which was followed by King Felipe VI's speech. You can watch the full event via YouTube:
Queen Letizia wore a new flowy light pink chiffon maxi skirt paired with a white silky tie-neck blouse she debuted in 2017.
ID UPDATE (March 2025): The skirt is the Aletheia 'Venus' Skirt in Pink.
On her feet were her Lodi 'Vela' pumps in light pink suede. The stock image below shows the model in red.
Queen Letizia complemented the feminine ensemble with her TOUS 'Sucre' Long Gemstone Earrings featuring blue quartz, green quartz, mother-of-pearl and rhodonite. They were first worn in April 2014 and hadn't been seen again until today.
Her Majesty also wore the Coreterno 'Amor Che Tutto Move' Ring which she hasn't been seen without since the Pascua Militar.

It's a pretty, feminine outfit but the fabric is very lightweight and the pale colours look more suited for spring or summer. While I like both pieces, the outfit lacks a certain 'wow' factor that you would expect at this kind of reception. There is a lot of fabric with the bow and the long floor length skirt that Letizia's small frame seems overwhelmed.

The blouse is gorgeous, pretty and feminine, but the sleeves fall short. The skirt is gorgeous, I noticed on movement, the skirt just glides, its beautiful. Love the pale pink shoes. The colored stones of the earrings are beautiful and look great with this outfit.

This feminine bow-tie blouse and long pink flowing skirt are winning combination for Letizia. The tie feature of the blouse helps to break up the block colour, while the plain skirt is enlivened both by the wide waistband, echoing the width of the tie bow of the blouse, and also by the generous movement in the beautifully flowing chiffon.

The silhouette is lovely. If only the skirt were any other hue. Every time QL wears this bubblegum pink, I find it jarring. All I see is the garment. Aside from the colour, this look is pleasingly ethereal. It's well-balanced and surprisingly doesn't look dowdy despite all the length - long skirt, long sleeve, long neck tie.
