The girls look really lovely, fresh and stylish while still being age appropriate. I like Letizia's dress, perfect summer wear.
I think Leonor will need warmer clothes for her Welsh boarding school!

This is a lovely summer dress. I like the striped fabric, long tiered skirt and belt which all combine to create a comfortable and cool dress. I had previously questioned the use of masks outdoors but it's wise that the royal family is being cautious. We don't know what lies ahead with this pandemic. Better safe than sorry.

It is mandatory to wear a mask in Spain when you can't mantain a 1,5 metres distance. They are with lots of different people every day, so they are ruling by example. I am in the Balearic Islands too, there are lots of people, It is a very touristic place for all Europe. There are thousands of French, Italians, Spaniards from mainland Spain, Brits, Germans, etc...all hoteles, restaurantes, strees are full, so almost everybody wears a mask

Maria de la Orden must be thrilled with their growing client list. I remember Sandra Gago (model and wife of Spanish tennis player Feliciano López) wore the brand months ago, among others, and now the Queen. This is a lovely dress, it's fresh and nautical. For a cleaner look, I may have preferred no belt like the stock images on the Maria de la Orden website. If you look closely at the photographs on Getty the bodice is cut very high under the arms and is a little tight across the bust. In high temperatures, these issues would drive me crazy, especially with non-stretch fabric. Letizia seems to be unaffected by them and they have no negative impact on the presentation of the dress - a larger size would be ill-fitting. The flat espadrilles and Nina Ricci sunglasses complete the summery look perfectly.

The fit of a sundress bodice is critical, and too often overlooked, resulting in the problems you mention. I sometimes think it's one item that one would like to avoid buying off the rail, but needs to be personally tailored to avoid a pullef-up waist, or being squeezed across the breast and fabric cutting into one's shoulders when moving the arms. It's a favourite style of mine but I'm regularly frustrated by the fit problems. Letizia has perfected her royal art of always appearing comfortable no matter what's going on!

Hi Bertie, hope you've managed to find some successful sundresses!

I learnt the hard way that an uncomfortable bodice can be an ordeal. At least ten years ago I bought a very pretty vintage summer dress that fitted perfectly across the shoulders and waist down. It was however a smidgen too tight across the bust and cut high under the arms. Whenever I wore it, within an hour, I regretted my decision and spent the whole day fiddling with it and adjusting my posture - I never enjoyed myself in that dress. If Letizia is uncomfortable her restraint at remaining unfazed is commendable.

Hahaha I thought your comments sounded as if based on experience! I have enjoyed all the sundresses I've had, thanks, though it's not easy to forfeit a really neat fit for comfort when trying them on.

This is a lovely, refreshing summer dress. I quite like the longer length. Soft colour, the flat Espadrilles are the perfect addition. As usual the girls look fabulous.

The stripy Maria de la Orden maxi sundress has worked really well for Letizia, despite reverting to one of my own pet dislikes, layered flounces. The length also works well with the flat - and very light - espadrilles, which once again render Letizia shorter than her two lovely daughters. The woven white Uterque clutch is the perfect finishing touch to a fun summer outfit
