Queen Letizia looks sensational in Seville wearing a Pedro Del Hierro repeat

The King and Queen of Spain were in Seville on Thursday to preside over the III Plenary meeting of the National Commission for the commemoration of the V Centenary of the first circumnavigation around the Earth by explorers Fernando de Magallanes (Portuguese) and Juan Sebastián Elcano (Spanish).

Their Majesties received a warm reception from the large crowd that had gathered to see them as they arrived at the Alcázar of Seville.

Following the meeting, King Felipe and Queen Letizia made their way to the General Archive of the Indies, housed in the ancient merchants' exchange of Seville, to open the exhibition "The Longest Journey."

This Pedro Del Hierro dress is still one of my favorite new items from 2019. I'm delighted to see it repeated! We also have a handbag, not a clutch so I am doubly happy! The Queen looks extremely elegant, I can imagine Grace Kelly in this ensemble with it's full skirt and heavenly pearl and diamond drop earrings, it's completely timeless. The paneled bodice defines her waist and cascades into the abundance of fabric at the sides, it's surprisingly clever, adding movement and extravagance to what could pass as a deceptively plain A-line dress from the front. The Ivory shade is versatile and will allow the piece to be re-styled many times over with an array of different accessories.The Camelot bag is refined, the trio of colours is sophisticated but subtle and the gold trimming across the flap adds a touch of luxury. As always, the sling backs are wonderful and coordinate perfectly with the style and colour of the dress and bag. I particularly like the larger size peals, the dress needed a piece of statement jewellery and these work regally. I wasn't sure the State Visit look could be equaled but Letizia looks faultless today. She has worn some fantastic pieces from this label, I would like to see more! I was surprised to see that the dress retails at €349.00 on the Pedro Del Hierro website, I thought that it would be far more expensive.

Jennifer, I'm glad you said it needed accessories because that was my thought exactly. The overall design of the dress is lovely but it would look so much better with a necklace.

I think that Letizia does not wear the necklaces well, they do not agree with her....Every time she has worn one she comes across as older...I do not know exactly why....

This Pedro Del Hierro dress remains an absolute stunner in my view, Letizia wears such elegant tailoring to perfection which is the best way to show respect for high profile engagements. I sometimes think I prefer low-key dressing like this to faux-budget tacked on to high-end in an attempt to look accessible while risking degrading her standing.

But this Del Hierro is divine, the beauty lies in the cut, the shaping of neckline and armholes, the flare of the skirt into soft, subtle pleats; this is a dress to wear many, many times over. I myself would not tire of seeing it.

Accessories are nicely judged, her two-tone Herrera bag and the slingbacks from the same label make a comfortable match with a touch of contrast, while the diamond and pearl drop earrings are standout choice, with their bold simplicity using a simple but extended drop to display a prominent ball shape, giving an essential spark to a laid-back outfit.

This is a beautiful dress, it flows and moves perfectly. The bodice sits well. Just love the sling back pumps and handbag the colours are just right, but the diamond pearl drop earrings are stunning, perfect.
