Queen Letizia presided over the final day of the XVI International Seminar on Language and Journalism at the Yuso Monastery in San Millán de la Cogolla.

The event, organized by the San Millán de la Cogolla Foundation and the FundéuRAE, centered on climate change, language, and communication this year.

This outfit is reminiscent of the menswear look popularized by Lauren Bacall and Katherine Hepburn in the 1940's. I don't normally like long leather coats but this one is quite striking. The brown pleated trousers, black sweater and loafers all work well together to create a comfortable, casual look. Even though added together is has a hefty price tag, everyday folks can recreate it for a lot less.

I;m loving this interesting mix of new items from Letizia, she's pulled off what might be a cumbersome outfit excellently. The new Pomandere pants in neutral small check are an interesting style being so full at the top and throwing the black leather Lottusse trench coat is an inspired touch of chic.

The clunky new Martinelli loafers are very much in keeping with the sober tone. She retains femininity by having a belt to pull the pants into her small waist and with the tight fit Hugo Boss sweater. The Nina Ricci bag with gold chain is perfect against the gold buckle of the loafers, and the Gold & Roses triple hoops sparkle sweetly out from the tumbling curls. A win for me
