Queen Letizia tweaks a familiar look for Joma Sport visit

On Friday, Queen Letizia joined her husband King Felipe on a tour of the Joma Sports headquarters. Joma is a Spanish sports clothing manufacturer based in the ancient city of Toledo. The royal couple were there to mark the 50th anniversary of the company.

Her Majesty stepped out in a familiar Hugo Boss ensemble which we first saw in November 2016 during the State Visit to Portugal (photo shown on the right).

The coordinating set includes the BOSS 'Colorina' wool-blend striped coat and BOSS 'Malivi' color-block wool blend skirt. The coat is still available in limited sizes and discounted by 75% at Nordstrom Rack!

Letizia again teamed it with her Hugo Boss 'Luxury Staple C' Leather clutch bag and camel vintage-inspired block heels also by the German brand.

There were however a couple subtle differences between today's outfit and the one Letizia wore in Portugal. Her sweater today had a mock-neck compared to the crew neckline worn previously. We can assume the mock-neck top is also by Hugo Boss given that the colour of the sweaters is identical.

We believe it may be the Hugo Boss 'Foebe' knit wool top (US$185) from the BOSS line. The style is now reduced down to $55.50 at Saks Fifth Avenue!

Rounding off her perfectly coordinated look were a new pair of drop earrings featuring coloured stones.

They are by Spanish jewellery brand Lisi Fracchia. The stud is a Spanish sphalerite stone - a rare gem from the Aliva Mine in the north of Spain. The drop includes three green garnets and an opal. The earrings are an exclusive design for Her Majesty however below is a similar style on the company's website.

I like the colour blocking in this outfit. The combination of colours is very interesting, creative and eye catching. But I'm not sure about the colour of the shoes and purse.

Sandy, I too wondered about the colour of the shoes and purse. Most of us would have chosen black, grey or red accessories. But Letizia is all about surprises and she often does something with an edgy twist. With that thought, I quite like the camel colour. It is unpredictable and so Letizia.

El abrigo y la falda llevan una franja de color marrón que combinan con los zapatos y el bolso.

Thanks for your comment Laura. I too appreciate the risks Leti takes. Interestingly, sometimes she is very matchy matchy with her shoes and other times she throws us a complete curveball.

Yo la pega que le veo es que lleva demasiado Hugo Boss y no diseños españoles.
¿Obtendrá descuentos??, me pregunto.

The outfit is classic and elegant, typical Letizia! I agree about the bag and shoes, love them, but they don't quite match. Beautiful make up.

I love the colour combination in this outfit and I also love the shoes and the purse just not sure about the colour of the jumper as it seems to bright and not sure about the earrings.

Hello Elizabeth.

First of all, I enjoy your work very much. I follow all three of your blogs and you are simply amazing. :)

Queen Letizia is my absolute favorite royal.
Regarding that, I was meaning to ask you something. I think Letizia is a very pretty lady but lately something seems off with her face. I don't know if it is just me, and my impression, so I just wanted to ask If somebody else noticed this as well.

Mariana, yes I agree. Leti's face has changed greatly since 2008.
I think she has had a lot of cosmetic procedures and continues to do so now That is why her face is always changing and looks off sometimes. She looks like a totally different person from when she first came on the scene. I must say I have not seen such a dramatic transformation on someone's face as much as Leti's. But I do think she is beautiful.

Yes, my thoughts exactly.
She is indeed a beautiful lady and I would say that for example this last summer and autumn she looked absolutely amazing. However recently ( I think ever since she's got this new haircut) something seem a bit off with her face. To be fair, she is just a human - maybe she feels tired or nervous, maybe she is not in the mood for any of this sometimes, and that shows. Although she is a pro 99% of the times.
I think she is really pretty lady with a great style and I think she doesn't need procedures at all. But I can imagine the pressure she is dealing with daily and she probably feels insecure.

She also wore the set but with a blouse to have lunch with the German president in 2017

Wonderful colours but have a personal thing about coat & skirt sets which is daft given it's just one step up from a conventional suit. I can understand Letizia embracing it as a style option for official duties. Her colour matching is spot on, very slick, and I think I miss some way of breaking up the rigidity.
