Queen Letizia traveled to the Canary Islands on Friday to mark the opening of the 2022/2023 school year at the Princesa Acerina school in Los Llanos de Aridane, La Palma.

The education center brings together students from several schools in the town of Puerto Naos whose schools had to close following last year's volcanic eruption.

Following the school visit, Her Majesty visited one of the areas affected by the volcanic eruption, where she had the opportunity to observe the recovery works.

It seems we haven't seen Letizia in a long time. I hope she had a good vacation. She looks refreshed and relaxed in this outfit. The print of the skirt is very striking and it goes well with the solid black blouse.

I adore this skirt but paired with the black blouse it doesn't look quite right to me. Maybe an off white shirt would work better? However, great to see the queen looking fresh after the holidays. Missed this blog

This is a lovely, simple but elegant outfit. I love the silk blouse and skirt, very feminine looking. In this instance the wedges work in well, with the outfit.

Letizia has successfully blended smart and businesslike with comfy and accessible in this savvy outfit. Most appropriate for opening the school year.

The loose black Sandro v-neck comes up well and quite snappy against the charmingly irregular Massimo Dutti monochrome print. Even the black espadrilles give a smart vibe, especially as they are beautifully tied. I remain a fan of the Jose Luis earrings though they are largely lost in hair here.
