The Queen of Spain marked the start of the school year today with a visit to the San Matías primary school in Tenerife.
She received a warm welcome from the young school children and Her Majesty reciprocated the delight.
As a mother, Queen Letizia looked right at home among the school children, and she displayed her natural affection toward to the pupils.
Her Majesty was given a tour of some of the classrooms where she took the opportunity to chat with the students.
Queen Letizia stepped out in a new monochrome frock for the occasion.
She debuted the Hugo Boss 'Franca' Stripe Dress (£250), crafted with an elaborate two-tone stripe and tiered effect, this dress by BOSS has a fluid silhouette, elasticized waistline and a soft underdress. It is currently available at House of Fraser in limited sizes.
The style is very similar to her taupe Hugo Boss 'Fanuela' knit dress which she debuted in June of 2015 and recently wore again a couple of weeks ago for audiences at Zarzuela Palace.
Letizia teamed the black and white striped dress with a new pair of block heel sandals by Spanish footwear brand, Naguisa.
She wore the label's 'Mala' model (€225) which features a hand-woven black goatskin cross-over strap. This is the first occasion the Spanish Queen has worn a piece by Naguisa - a Barcelona based footwear manufacturer that prides itself on its Made in Spain tag.
Letizia also debuted a two-tone flap clutch bag by Carolina Herrera. It's a style she already owns in a black/metallic render and the model is from the designer's Spring/Summer 2013 collection.
Below is a stock photo of the bag in reverse colours to the one Letizia carried.
She topped off the elegant ensemble with her Carolina Herrera 'Falling Jasmine' stud earrings.
