The King and Queen of Spain travelled to La Palma, Canary Islands on Saturday to pay tribute to its people affected by last year's eruption of the Cumbre Vieja volcano.

The eruption which started on September 19, 2021, lasted for 85 days and destroyed over 1,241 hectares and 2,988 buildings.  On arrival, Their Majesties took a stroll in the town and visited local businesses.

For the ceremony, Queen Letizia wore her lilac Bleis Madrid crepe trouser suit (shown below in white). She debuted the two-piece suit last September for World Cancer Research Day.

Today she coordinated it with Magrit accessories in a matching lilac hue. The pumps appear to be based on the brand's 'Vera' model.

Queen Letizia paid homage to La Palma by sporting a handmade embroidered blouse by local fashion label Pomeline. The top was designed by its Creative Director,  Ana María Rodríguez for the Monaco Collection. It is made with traditional embroidery techniques preserved on the island of La Palma.

Letizia wore new earrings by Pisando Colores, also a brand from the island. The  €45 'Charco' earrings are handmade using recycled silver and glass fragments collected on the seashore.

Whenever I see the King and Queen in jeans they look like regular folks. You could pass them on the street and not know they were Heads of State. The ruffled top is so versatile it can be worn with jeans and take on a carefree/fun look.

The lilac suit is a reminder that Spring is on it's way. The color is delicate and feminine and works well with the beautiful lace camisole/blouse. It looks sleeveless but I don't know for sure..

I'm still wondering why they are still wearing masks especially outdoors. It seems ridiculous at this point. We are dropping them here in the world's most restricted country of Canada.

We are suffering a wave of Saharian sand all arround the country, Canary Islands are much more near África, you can see the whole place is cloudy, It is sand of the desert. We Will wear masks for a while, also the new variant, deltacron even leds virulent is causing deaths.

PD I do not know why people interfere in decisions of other countries in a time as complicated as this, with a WAR very near, not near Canada obviously.

The Lilac pantsuit is divine. Simple, subtle but elegant. I love this shade of colour, soft and feminine. The handmade embroided blouse is splendid, what a creation. Shoes and clutch work in well. The Charco earrings, are a clever achievement, recycled materials from the seashore, amazing.
The Uterque lace and ruffled linen top looks fabulous, I loved this the first time the Queen wore it and the same now. She really looks fantastic in jeans, and this outfit, I love. The large hooped earrings look terrific.

I really love to see QL in casual, everyday outfits like these jeans! I agree with the previous comment- she could be an exceptionally stylish mom anywhere in the world:)

These are two great outfits for the La Palma setting. The Uterque Lace and Ruffles top is at its best worn with jeans, the bootcut is perfect. The white Herrera shoulder bag is perfect.

The local Pomeline guipure top transforms the lilac Bleis pant suit, giving excellent texture contrast against the plain crepe. I love the matching lilac Magrit accessories. The choice of local earrings is inspired, the recycled sliver and glass from Pisando Colores being fashioned into something simple and original.
