Pretty dress, although I think it is a bit too long. Nice pop of red from the shoes and purse.

They have travelled with Ministers of the govermment and heads of Spanish companies to do deals. It seems that it has been very successful trip. Felipe is a great diplomatic, he can speak 5 languages and has a 2 years Master in Georgetown in Foreign Office, also he run a degree in law.

And he's very attractive and seems personable. As does she.

Simone, Thanks for the info about King Felipe. I'm impressed. He seems like a wonderful man. I live in Ontario, Canada and know of Lakefield College. His education sounds strategic and very useful to his position.

For the Canadians, Felipe studied in Canada as well, at Lakefield College School de Selwyn, Ontario, when he was 17 years old, before University.

Good point, Laura. I often wonder what language these dignataries speak when they get together. It must be difficult to communicate.

Obviously they travel with translators, multi- lingual persons. In the videos you can hear the translator in Spanish and Korean language.

I really like this dress. The light print against a dark background is very striking. It looks like it's very comfortable. Since it is a longer length I think it looked best with the boots as shown on the model. The slit opening front/back on the bodice is an interesting detail.

Sandy, I too like the boots that the model is wearing with this dress. But for the event Letizia is attending, boots might have looked too funky.

Laura, I agree the boots would not have worked for this occasion but maybe in the future. Nice to hear from a fellow Canadian. I live in Toronto myself.

A lovely dress. Soft and feminine looking, the colours are gorgeous. The shoes and clutch were the perfect choice. Earrings are beautiful.

It's great to see a reasonably priced Spanish brand on the State Visit. I commend the choice of rust coloured accessories and stunning citrine drop earrings which complement the red tones in the confetti print, the refined selection of colours pop against the black base. However, for a future repeat, I think this style of dress may look stronger approached more casually, with suede knee length boots with block heels and a pair of contemporary pearl hoop earrings to echo the dots in the design. I had a look on the Massimo Dutti website and there were some stylish knit dresses that I preferred. Although, they wouldn't have been as suitable for the days agenda, this ensemble appears more formal with the sheer sleeves, key hole detailing at the front and back of the dress and the elegant shoes and clutch set which help lift the look.

Another dowdy maxi dress! I was getting so happy with the more fitted pencil skirts and chic suits she has worn recently. I wonder how long until these will be out of style?

Asya, I have to agree with you that those shirt dresses are getting boring...Yes, they are ok, but we saw too much of them this year...

This dress seemed so like a return to normal after all the Japanese state finery that at first I quite thought we had arrived back home. It's a pretty concept from Dutti with its keyhole neck and fun multi-coloured offbeat spotted print.
