The King and Queen of Spain welcomed Qatari Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani and his wife, Sheikha Cevahir bint Hamad bin Suhaim Al-Sani with an official ceremony at the Royal Palace in Madrid, on Tuesday.

The Emir of Qatar is on a two day State Visit to Spain.

Following the ceremony, King Felipe and Queen Letizia hosted a luncheon for their guests of honour at the Palace of Zarzuela.

This is a marvelous outfit. It was brilliant to match the shoes and clutch to the blue shade found in the embroidery. It really enhances the beauty of the flower design which is strategically placed and not over done. CH & Letizia hit a home run with this outfit and she looks gorgeous as a result. This will be in the top 10 of 2022 for sure.

This is a beautiful ensemble, Herrera's bluebell dress is truly sublime! The fresh white fabric and iridescent blue stones create an air of purity. Fit is impeccable and the swishy A-line skirt (which is lined) moves and hangs like a dream. The placement of embroidery echos a brooch and side slit, cleverly drawing the eye diagonally across the dress which is flattering to the wearer. It's always a treat to see the stunning Bulgari earrings in full, the colour of the aquamarine drops is so intense that from afar they remind me of dazzling blue foil sweet wrappers. 'Very' minor quibbles: the platforms on the slingbacks (the majority of the Queen's Magrit shoes are bespoke, so I wish she would request slightly lower heels instead); and, although Her hair looks effortless and neat when it is behind her shoulders, a simple updo would have completed the pristine look and showed off the bodice embroidery to full effect.

A truly beautiful Herrera pick from Letizia for this event, it feels like business-as-usual when she feels free to wear professionally created and crafted outfits. The classic fit-and-flare cut and shape is finely and smoothly executed, without excess but fully feminine.

The floral pattern is exquisite and restrained, which somehow falls into context against the all-white ensemble of the Sheikha. Otherwise it might be a touch too timid amid so much monochrome. Powder blue accessories are charming, and the Bvlgari earrings are obviously fabulous.

This is a beautiful CH dress, the outline and fit is divine, wonderfully crafted dress. The blue flower embroidery is tastefully executed and placement is perfect, not overdone. The blue embroidery is beautifully highlighted by the color choice of the accessories, gorgeous blue sling back shoes and clutch. The Bulgari aquamarine teardrop earring are a stunning pair of earrings, I love the blue aqua teardrops and pleased to see the Queen added them this time.
P,S Its not often you see another man, near the same height as the King, both look very dapper and well groomed.

Good observation about the Emir's height. Very rarely does Felipe not have to strain his neck by looking down when he talks to people,

I can understand the need for the platforms for at least two reasons, but since these shoes are bespoke, there must be a more attractive way to incorporate them into the shoe design.
