For her first public engagement of the week, the Queen of Spain presented two children's literature awards, “El Barco de Vapor” and “Gran Angular”. The annual awards are organised by the SM Foundation whose goal is to promote children’s books and reading.
Queen Letizia wore an all-black ensemble to this evening event, pairing a new vest-style top by Felipe Varela with her signature black Hugo Boss trousers.
The peplum vest features a shawl collar with epaulettes. It has a snap button front with flap pockets at the waist. It is finished wit edgy grommets around the sleeves which extend around the back.

She finished the look with her beautiful "wedding" earrings which were a gift from her in-laws.
This the second year Queen Letizia's has opted for an edgier style compared to her more conservative looks for past appearances at this award ceremony.
