Queen Letizia presents National Research Awards in pink pantsuit

King Felipe and Queen Letizia were in Gandía on Thursday to present the 2023 National Research Awards at the Ducal Palace of the Borgias.

Their Majesties presented the awards which are granted by the Ministry of Science and Innovation and are the most important recognition in Spain in the field of scientific research.

Queen Letizia looks so lovely in this pink ensemble, particularly with the pairing of the guipure lace top, which gives the look a youthful charm. The accessories are also on point.

After a long string of dark and sombre outfits, it is refreshing to see Letizia in something bright. The pink suit looks good, although personally I'd like to see the pants 4-5 cms longer. The lace blouse is very beautiful with the floral motif picked up in the earrings. The pink shoes are a great match as is the pink belt...although I would have left the belt off.

After a dreary winter, it's nice to have an injection of color, and when Queen Letizia starts wearing pastels, you know Spring is in the air! I love this pink color on her and the way she styled this feminine pantsuit with the lace top.

The lace top is really beautiful. The pink pantsuit looks fabulous. I love jackets this length. The top works in well with the jacket. The pants fit well, the pants could do with a few cms longer, a bit short for my liking. Regardless the Queen looks superb.

Well, what do you wear to be at home with the Borgias? I think this is an excellent royal outfit and give Letizia full marks for it. Unfortunately it's not an outfit I would like for myself, but then, luckily, I don't have her job!

The pantsuit has all the quality of HB tailoring in its cut, I like a single-breasted jacket and the trouser legs are mercifully slim, and look very well with the CH slingbacks, which I'm glad to see can still be worn in the new low-heel era. Sadly, the colour is one I dislike,something I think my date back to schooldays.

My least favourite item is the guipure top which I find too fussy, but which I'm happy to concede works well to be eye-catching for royal purposes. The Yanes flower stud earrings are too much for me on top of all the fussy lace. At least I'm still loving the new hairdo! Rock on, Letizia, and just ignore me :-D
