Queen Letizia re-wears Carolina Herrera polka dot dress for morning events in Cuba

The King and Queen of Spain are on an official State Visit to Cuba. Their Majesties arrived in Havana last night, and this morning they began their day with a visit to the Plaza de la Revolución where they laid a wreath at the José Martí Memorial.

José Martí (1853-1895) was a poet and intellectual, and is considered a Cuban national hero. During the ceremony, the National Anthems of both countries were played. Below is some video footage of the visit.

Their Majesties later received a formal welcome at Palacio de la Revolución, the official residence of the President of Cuba.

They were greeted by President Miguel Díaz-Canel and First Lady Lis Cuesta. King Felipe and President Miguel Díaz-Canel oversaw the force and greeted officials.

I love this dress and like the way it highlights Letizia's toned arms. She seems to be wearing so much black and white lately. I don't like the shoes with the plastic and think a red shoe and clutch, as shown on the model would have been nice.

This is a very pretty dress. It's light and fresh and suits the Queen well, but I don't think it has ever reached its full potential. Personally, I think it would shine at a summer cocktail event, as it needs to be worn with delicate strappy sandals. I appreciate that for the morning's engagements, closed-toe shoes would be considered more formal for the occasion. I wonder if the Carolina Herrera nude patent slingbacks and a small white clutch would have worked, or the new CH fuchsia, slingbacks and 'Scala Insignia' clutch. The black suede pumps are heavy and the sophisticated clutch appears disconnected from the chiffon and soft gathers. I have seen extravagant, shirt-inspired dresses with large polka dots where pumps and sleek bags look striking, but these dresses aren't as romantic, so the bolder styling works well.

I really like this dress. It fits so well, falls beautifully. Not so keen on the plastic shoes, but each to their own! Love the red shoes and clutch exhibited by the model above, it really lifts the outfit. Gold huggie hoops are a nice subtle addition.

Lovely to see this black-and-white polka dot Herrera again, it manages a perfect combination of feminine with businesslike, suitable for formal wreath-laying. The second halter-neck of the trip meanwhile keeps the summery accent alive. Black accessories also add a formal touch, the pretty Nina Ricci hoop clutch is a great match with the hoop earrings, and I love the Steve Madden Plaza mules, I appreciate the trendy touch of that plastic strap. Letizia looks as perfect as ever!

I really like this dress, the way the material falls is very elegant. Having said that I think the occasion required something a little bit more formal and the shoes don't add to the look.
