The Queen of Spain started the working week in Albacete. She traveled to the Spanish province for the Red Cross & Red Crescent World Day ceremony. Each year, on 8th May, 189 countries mark the anniversary of the birth of the founder of the humanitarian organization, Henry Dunant.
In her speech, Queen Letizia highlighted the importance of the staff and volunteers of these two organizations, which save lives and assist vulnerable communities worldwide. The International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent is the largest humanitarian network in the world.
For the occasion, Queen Letizia repeated the outfit she debuted at the Spanish Red Cross Fundraising Day in 2014. It consists of a white/black wool-blend check top by Danish label Designers Remix, paired with her signature black Hugo Boss trousers.
The ensemble is a favorite of the Queen's, and she has now sported this look on four occasions, two if which have been related to the Red Cross. I have dubbed it her "Red Cross uniform"!
Today, Letizia varied the look with black accessories. On her feet the Magrit 'Mila' pumps in black leather and she carried her Hugo Boss 'Fanila' clutch which she premiered at the 2013 Prince of Asturias Awards.
The BOSS 'Fanila' clutch is made from luxurious calfskin. The flap leather clutch features a polished metal spring lock on the front. The lined interior offers organizational pockets with a zippered compartment and mobile phone holder.
She finished the look with her Links of London Hope Egg earrings, also a favorite of the Duchess of Cambridge.
