The Queen of Spain held a working meeting with the Spanish Red Cross to learn about the response capacity of the RESPONDE Plan in the face of COVID-19 and the new challenges of the humanitarian organisation, at the Headquarters in Madrid.

During the session, Her Majesty was informed of the main data of the Red Cross intervention, as well as the efforts of the organisation to adapt its response based on the needs detected at all times. The Red Cross begins the second phase of its RESPONDE Plan against COVID-19, which launched in March to serve the most vulnerable people in the face of the pandemic. It will focus its efforts on improving access to employment and the fight against the digital divide, among other key interventions in areas such as health and emergency response.

The Red Cross RESPONDE Plan represents the largest humanitarian operation in the history of the organisation in terms of mobilising resources, capacities and people, and has supported, to date, more than 2.5 million people of which 65% have been women. More than 59,000 volunteers have participated in the RESPONDE Plan, 60% women, with an average age of 36 years.

I like everything about this professional look and especially like the jacket with something black under it. Great approval for the flat shoes, with the very interesting strap detail. I have these earrings. Mine are knock offs, but still look quite wonderful.

This is a great outfit. I can see why this HB blazer is a staple in Letizia's wardrobe. It's a smart, well tailored piece that has proven to be versatile in many ways. We see it here paired with slim pants which is a brand new look. I don't normally care for flat shoes but these ones with the cross over strap are beautiful.

I adore cropped slim leg trousers, they are chic and complement the Queen's figure. The patent slingbacks are a feminine alternative to the loafers that have dominated Letizia's (flat shoe) wardrobe over the last year. The black staples sit stylishly under the tweed jacket but we have seen a similar look before (April 2018 photograph above). To differentiate it, I would have preferred an understated white silk tee shirt and black tote to hold the additional paperwork.  I find March 2018 to be the most successful wearing of the jacket/suit. The simplicity of the soft white blouse and modest pearl earrings offered the perfect contrast to the tweed fabric, leather piping, and zip trimmings. The Queen was the epitome of modern elegance.

A question: The Channel Comete earrings look different from the ones by the same name on the site below. They are both stars but other than that quite different. Does Letizia own both versions?

Hi Laura, Letizia only owns the the one version (the small ones). The older stock photo shows the medium size because I believe at the time that was all that was available online. I have since updated the stock image to reflect the actual version Letizia owns. I hope this makes sense, and sorry for any confusion x

Thanks, Elizabeth, for the explanation.

Letizia at her effortless best in this welcome repeat. The Hugo Boss jacket wears well, and the idiosyncratic, mulit-cololoured fringe on the pockets is contained within the plain black palette of top and pants, which also help pick out the smart black trims on the jacket.

It's so refreshing to see Letizia in narrow leg pants and not flapping wide leg fabric. The HB ballerina flats finish the ensemble to perfection with the asymmetric strap echoing the jacket's black trimming.

Cropped slim trousers are my favourites, they are more sophisticated looking and suit the Queen perfectly. I adore the HB pumps, with the asymmetric straps they look very stylish and smart. Beautiful tweed jacket is marvellous, it can be mixed and matched, so versatile. Its a interesting piece with its distinctive leather piping, defined pockets. Certainly a beautifully crafted jacket. Earrings are delicate, subtle but tasteful.
