BBVA Microfinance Foundation held the event 'Tireless women: Challenges and achievements to reinvent themselves in times of crisis', to recognise the work of Latin American entrepreneurs in the face of the economic impact of the health crisis and the important role of technology.
Her Majesty was informed of the activities and projects of the Foundation to fight against poverty, offering people who do not have access to the conventional financial system to obtain resources to undertake productive activities and improve their quality of life.

I usually adore the Queen's impeccable choices from Pedro del Hierro, sadly, this is the one item that I dislike. I don't think the design has aged well, the silhouette is limp and I find the waterfall/asymmetrical hemline messy from the front and back. In 2021 I hope there is a clean break from uneven hemlines of any kind. In photographs where Letizia is facing the camera, it is quite noticeable that the fabric has gathered above and below the waist belt which makes for a less polished appearance. I'm a stickler for matching metals, I find the lack of coordination between the trimmings of the clutch (gold) and belt (silver) jarring when Letizia has many other options at her disposal. For this event, I think a re-wear of the chic Hugo Boss 'Dechesta' glen plaid dress would have been more successful 05/03/19.

It's wonderful to see this lovely dress again. I love how the classic glen plaid print is modernized with the flounce detail on the side which keeps it from being matronly or boring. I wish Letizia had worn if a bit differently pairing it with boots like the model. I do wish she would wear boots more often as they are a very versatile and stylish accessory. I like the use of the black belt this time around. It's a nice change from the matching fabric belt she wore back in 2018.

Hi Wendy, I loved that outfit and a repeat would have been sensational! I'm sure you may have already seen, CP Mary of Denmark wore the same skirt with a navy & pale blue polka dot blouse and P Sofia of Sweden wore it with a crew neck knit in the same colour as the skirt. All three ladies looked wonderful and highlighted how versatile the skirt is.

Indeed! But we have a problem, 57 areas of Madrid are with restrictions , it is not a "lockdown", but you only can go to work, meds, etc...all must be close at 10 pm, etc not even journalists can enter, so I'm afraid we will have less information and she is going to keep herself low. Difficult times, all Europe is hit again.

This dress looks limp and doesn't hang very well, suggesting that perhaps a lining was needed. I also find the asymmetrical hemline doesn't measure up; it looks somewhat untidy, rather than a design feature. The black belt and shoes are fine. The metal on the clutch is a mismatch for the metal on the belt. Somehow Letizia doesn't look as well put together as we've come to expect.

This outfit is a rare miss for me. I am not a fan of uneven hemlines, this one more so with the hanging side detail, but that is personal preference. The Queen looks lovely regardless.

The Pedro del Hierro dress is a great repeat pick for a business look with its muted neutral check. I'm not a big fan of it for personal reasons only, I'm tired of both frayed edges and asymmetric hems as they now strike me as dated. As such they help keep things low key.

Accessories are great, the dress needs the Burberry statement belt, the sleek black Herrera clutch restores clean lines in defiance of frayed asymmetry, and the croc Blahniks are all-out divine.
